Jollibee — Restaurant in Irvine

The services and foods were terrible! I decided to try it because of all the hype over it, which I usually don’t follow but I wanted to try the chicken to see it for myself. The chicken is crispy, but it lacked a whole lot of flavor. It’s like battered chicken you can fry at home yourself with no seasonings. I ordered the original to actually taste the real flavors, but there were none. It was very disappointing and worst of all, the customer service was horrible! They were so rude. Most of the girls there were just so rude and unhelpful. They even gave me eye rolling and negative looks for no good reasons. I am use to that, but it’s still disgusting behavior. I ordered my food online in advance and it said it would be ready between 30 minutes to 1 hour. I never had to wait that long at other fast food joints, including KFC, Raising Canes, Chick Fil A, or Popeyes. I will make an exception for casual sit down dining, semi casual restaurants, or upscale restaurants. This was absurdly unacceptable. As soon as I walked in, the female supervisor saw me at the pick up line and I was the only one there at the time. She looked at me with a negative expression and attitude and quickly turned away. She didn’t even greet me like a decent person with common courtesy should. I smiled and waved at her for assistance and she finally approached me to ask what I needed. She was totally fake. I told her my name and that I was there to pick up my order (obviously). She then went back to talk to her co workers, because they didn’t have my order ready yet. They had almost an hour and they still didn’t have it ready. What were they doing that entire time?! They made me wait over 5 minutes longer and I finally called attention to another girl who sincerely helped me. The girl went back to see if my order was ready and the package was sitting there for the last 5 minutes or so on the rear counter. They are so unprofessional, unhelpful, and disgusting. The place was filthy as well. Who is running and managing this place? I am never going back mostly because of the bad services. Food and chicken were not impressive so I don’t know why people are overrating jollibee. Are they totally brainwashed jumping on the bandwagon or something? Food was so bland. The only thing that was different and enjoyable was the warm peach mango pie, but again I have tried better pies at other ethnic restaurants, so it’s no better than theirs. As far as the chicken go, Willie Mae’s in Venice California, is the best! Jollibee doesn’t even come close as being good and yummy as KFC, Popeyes, or Chick Fil A, let alone Willie Mae’s. People need to stop and really evaluate things without influences, trends, popularity, and bad advices. Stop jumping on the bandwagon and being brainwashed. What the heck there's a Jollibee in Irvine? This is located inside the Seafood City which is a Filipino super market. Oh yeah!! Another reason I will just smile and laugh when I hear that Irvine has no good Asian food. I will also think you are crazy but won't say it. I hope I didn't offend anyone but I am talking about you.

I only heard about Jollibee because I remember trying it many years ago in Puente Hills and San Francisco. I didn't remember if I liked it or not but a recent YouTube video I saw talking about Halo Halo hooked me. I like Filipino fried chicken. I really hope for a Goldilocks in Irvine but that might not happen. Never say never because 10 years ago in Irvine there was never a Jamboree plaza. It will only take another 1 or 2 percent increase to make Asians the majority here. For better or for worse. I heard Jollibee is a Filipino McDonald's but that doesn't do it justice because McDonald's is nasty.

Spaghetti and fried chicken! It might sound strange but it makes more sense than Chicken and waffles. Sorry Roscoe's it's lunch time and meat spaghetti beats waffles. Plus roscoe's is a but overpriced for what you get. After eating here you could say I was a Jolly Bee! Adding a Halo Halo with my combo made my fast food a little pricey but it was worth it for something different and taste. If you are going to break a diet or have a cheat day, go...

Everytime we come here we say the same thing... maybe the customer service will be better but... customer service has been awful everytime. When we arrived, there were no other customers. We were greeted by a non enthusiastic worker to take our order.

After we ordered, we waited and saw two other customers that arrived right behind us and order. The guests that arrived after us and ordered were served first and we were served last when we were there first and ordered first. Not once did the Jollibee employee say "Sorry for the wait or excuse us for the wait." Did not say anything at all.

In as much as I want to support Jollibee, it will be awhile until we come back. Valerio's Bakery, across from Jollibee's had better customer service and an enthusiastic employee who actually prompted us to spend more at Valerio's because of her great attitude.

Anyway, if Jollibee management sees this, please work on your customer service and quality of service that your employees have. Hire employees who actually like to serve. If you are in the service industry, be proud of who you are serving. You will lose a lot of business because of your poor customer services. Maybe we will be back......
