Sev feels like a scam. Purchased a groupon for a pack of 6 armpit and brazilian appointments. The technician reccomended i come at different lengths of time for each area based on the hair growth pattern so treatment is effective. You should be able to trust the technician to advise properly. Yesterday I went for my appointment and they tried to charge me again. They have tried to charge me every single day I've gone. Yesterday was different when I went to check out the lady at the front desk tried charging me and said because I'd used only half for that day I lose the appointment or have to pay today. The person I booked with last time didn't tell me that was the case at the time of scheduling. I told the lady I would stay and get my armpits done today then since I wasn't told. She said we don't have time today. Mind you I could see the room I just left, the technician was still inside, had no client and had not cleaned from my appointment so they had time and the girl at the front just didn't allow me the complete service. She said multiple people have been having this issue! So sev knows it's an issue and fails to communicate that with you while you book your appointment. I told her I wouldn't have booked like that if the tech hadn't advised it. She said she would have the manager contact me. Jasmin contacted me and said she was sorry it was in the contract so I should have known, she admitted it was confusing and multiple people had this issue. She said she would see if she could add free armpit service on at the end of my treatment as a courtesy. A courtesy.. you mean the package I paid for? She said she would ask a manager if she could. So I still don't know if that was approved. She also addmitted the technicians dont know anything about our package and shouldn't advise that. The person at the front should be aware of the package and see what is required for booking when scheduling your next appointment.Basically I got that you don't get to come when you should based on hair growth and when the treatment will be most effective unless all areas grow the same rate. They don't for most people. I have a couple more appointments left after this and will update my review if I actually receive all the treatments I've paid for. The male who checked me in for this appointment was rude would not allow me to read the check in form on the eyepad and kept pushing me to just scroll down and accept terms. You should let us read when you want us to sign documents.
Update: Sev did allow me to complete the groupon package. They did gave me a free brazilian at the end of treatment. The service overall was not effective enough to continue. I can't help but think that the lack of reduction was due to failure to schedule appointments when advised by laser technician. Additionally my husband reminded me that the first day we went to sev, all the people before me were told they would get 3 areas complimentary. That was not...
Read moreI want to share my full experience with SEV Laser Irvine so new clients can understand what really happens here. On August 31, 2024, I signed up for a 6 session package for $225 after being referred by my wife, who had spoken highly of them. At the time of sign up, the employee told both of us that we would each get a free session. That promise was the main reason we both purchased the package. My sessions went like this. October 9, 2024 was the first. November 16, 2024 was the second. January 4, 2025 was the third. February 22, 2025 was the fourth. On April 5, 2025, I came in again and the girl at the counter told me clearly that I had two sessions left and told my wife she had one left. On May 3, 2025, I checked in for another treatment and once again the lady at the counter told me I still had one more session left after that. Then on September 6, 2025, I went in expecting my last session. At the end, the person at the front desk told me I owed $79.99 because my package was done. I was shocked. How is it possible that on two separate occasions two different employees told me something completely different, and now suddenly the company says I have nothing left? I tried to resolve this quietly. I emailed Cloee Kraft, the office supervisor. It took her two to three days every time just to respond, and when she did, she didn’t take responsibility or offer a solution. She just repeated that it was my job to track my own sessions. Eventually, I escalated and got a response from Ariel Spears, the customer relations manager. She also ignored the fact that multiple employees gave me wrong information and instead hid behind the policy and receipts. They claim they don’t have records of what staff told me, which is convenient, because of course they don’t record conversations — only receipts. This is not about the $79.99 fee. It is about honesty, trust, and how a company worth over 22 million dollars refuses to make something right for a customer who was misled by their own staff. They hide behind policy instead of standing by what their employees say face to face. To make things worse, they decorate their offices and website with the phrase “By the Grace of God.” Really? God knows how many other clients have been told wrong information and brushed off the way I was. To use religion as a slogan while treating customers this way feels hypocritical. I had been ready to buy another 6 sessions for myself and another for my wife. Instead, because of how this was handled, they’ve lost us both forever. I will not be back, I will not refer anyone here, and I will be taking legal action. This experience was painful and disappointing, not because of the money, but because I was lied to, ignored, and made to feel like my words meant nothing. I’m writing this so new people know what kind of business they are...
Read moreI WOULD GIVE 0 STARS OUT OF A 100 IF I COULD My experience with their gift card purchase was a total nightmare. I bought these cards during their Mother’s Day sale, thinking they’d be emailed for convenience. Nope! Instead, they were physically mailed with a $10 shipping fee, which was not what I wanted.
When I called SEV Laser, they told me gift cards are only processed on Mondays. They advised me to email management by June 3rd to switch them to digital cards. I sent the email right away with all my details but got crickets. Despite several follow-ups by phone, text, and email, I got zero replies.
A week later, totally frustrated, I emailed them again. Out of the blue, they just refunded my purchase without solving my initial problem or even talking to me about it! This mess-up was super inconvenient since I had an appointment on June 11, which I planned to use the gift cards for.
Then, on the day of the appointment, they had the nerve to charge me a no-show fee. I complained again and finally got an apology and a refund for the fee. They said they were waiting on a third-party vendor about the gift cards.
On June 13, the office manager emailed me confirming the gift card refund, but guess what? No refund showed up in my account. By June 17, after more delays and me chasing them down, they asked for a screenshot of my bank statement to check the refund. I sent it, but the hassle just kept going.
The office manager, instead of sorting things out or even apologizing properly, just asked if I wanted to call. Seriously? SEV Laser’s customer service was a joke—unhelpful, unresponsive, and just plain frustrating.
I still haven’t gotten my refund. I’ve told SEV Laser that if I don’t see my money by tomorrow, I’m calling my bank to dispute the charge. Trust me, avoid SEV Laser at all costs. Their lack of communication and poor service are just not worth your time or money. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND SEV Laser based on this experience, and I would give them zero stars out of...
