This was perfect (Jobos Beach) Isabella PR. on a Monday: HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BEACH: my family enjoyed themselves, my daughter LOVED IT & such calm waters & beautiful fish swimming around you. If you like: Go out further to enjoy the waves & surf. I felt my dghtr could fully enjoy the waters without me hovering too close. Oh, I loved there were life guards too. Also, fairly priced umbrella, lil table & chair rental ($20) & a local guy sells parking spots down street on his property ($5). It was perfect. I saw there were plenty of local places for food too. We didn't eat so I'm uncertain of pricing. Just bring your own food that's easiest. Only negative I found was: I didn't see anywhere to wash off or to change so we were left as is with tons of sand. The bathrooms were also closed & there were only 2 smelly porta pottys (bring your tissue, hand sanitizer & have a mask on too).

THE BEST BEACH TOWN in the NorthWest. Jobos beach is most beautiful during the week as it is not crowded at all. DO PAY ATTENTION TO THE STRONG CURRENTS where the surfers are. Some parts are rocky and others clear of rocks for the perfect swim. Get there for Sunrise and listen to the waves, breezes and birds chirping a beautiful sound all at the same time! So many restaurants with fresh seafood and magical views. So much greenery and mountains surround this beach town. Its family chill vibes here. If you like photography you'll definitely be inspired. After the beach go to Jobos Food Trucks next to the Gulf Gas Station with plenty of food and drink options. We visited here for the first time in April 2022, and have been back 9 times! It's truly paradise. Come for sunrise and stay for the sunsets!! Come with no plan and enjoy your day one wave at a time!

There was more current then I would prefer and we almost swam to help a woman that was being pulled out. So stay close to the beach and to the right. We saw lots of fish, big tuna looking fish bigger than my hand and lots of smaller fish. We also pulled out two large pieces of glass. So watch where you step! Thankfully the water was crystal clear. Beach had lots of shady spots and several restaurants close by. After we were done swimming, We walked back to the car, changed into dry clothes and walked up on top of the rocks. Viewed Pozo De Jacinto, a hole where the Atlantic Ocean slashes up into. Then we walked back to our car. Parking: Free parking in the shade along the road about a 5 min walk to the beach. $5 full sun parking in a manned lot. $10 full sun parking next to restaurants.

Beautiful and cool vibe for hanging out, snorkeling, and finding shells but BE CAREFUL. There were posted warning signs about the currents and at one point we did feel them. Drownings apparently have occurred so keep your kids close and don’t go out far. You can see little fish around the coral reefs even in waist deep water. UPDATE: Literally just a few days after writing this post another tourist drowned. Apparently the place that is the most dangerous is where it appears to be the most calm (towards the right of the beach). Also if you do get caught apparently your best chance is to get a surfer to help you or body surf the waves back to the other main shore (not the beach you came from). Research before you go, it just might save a life!

Love love ❤️❤️ this place. The water is soooo cool here, the mountains help divide the strong waves for the surfers and the people who just wanna chill I'm the water. Once in the water you can be in a foot of water then walk up all the way to your neck and back to your ankle. It's super chill here, it gets packed and parking is a nightmare but worth it. Husband was able to surf while we played in the water. The sand is SUPER hot so I would recommend water shoes or else making runs all the way from shore into the water. We will definitely be returning here next time we visit PR. This is now one of our favorite beaches to surf and chill.
