Sad to say that after a long search and reading excellent reviews from this place ranked #8 in Isabela, my wife and I decided to visit this so call excellent restaurant and from the very beginning was a disaster, were tokd the wait was about 15 minutes and ended waiting around 40 minutes. The restaurant was half full, After we were sat at our table, we order Piña Coladas $7 each and what a disappointment, lack of pineapple flavor, more water than it should've, whipped cream of very low quality. We order a lobster tail in a bed of sea food $51 plate an you would've expected an excellent plate and value for your money, I order a Stuffed mofongo with lobster $29, both of our plates took around 1 1/2 hour to arrive at our table and guess what, the food was cold, our waitress never came by our table to ask if everything was alright until 10-15min after our food came out because I ask for some water bottles. Table was at the balcony facing the main street and there was a lot of Flies around, we couldn't eat our food because we spent must if our time making sure the flies wouldn't landed in our plates. Need to teach employees how to really treat the guests, more cleaning and dessinfecting the areas and the bathrooms. At the end, after a long wait for the waitress come to our table, got up and ask for the tab and pay and left. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Go somewhere else and...
Read moreTsunami has a prime location with plenty of parking, making it a convenient stop for beachgoers and locals alike. The service is outstanding—the waitresses are friendly, attentive, and well-informed about the menu, which added a positive touch to the experience.
However, the food quality left much to be desired. While my stuffed chicken breast and risotto were decent, they had the unmistakable taste of being pre-prepared and reheated rather than freshly made. The biggest disappointment was the ceviche appetizer. It arrived rancid, with oversized chunks that made it difficult to enjoy. Worse yet, it was evident that the ceviche was not fresh—likely a day or more old. The staff mentioned that a new batch was being prepared, but since ceviche requires at least four hours to cure properly, that statement raised concerns about either kitchen honesty or an attempt to mask the issue.
The ambiance and location are definite pluses, and while the restaurant is a convenient choice if you’re in the area, it doesn’t justify a special trip. The prices are on the higher side, which would be more acceptable if the food quality matched the cost. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I wouldn’t go out of my...
Read moreToday the mofongo was cold and I didn't taste like what I would call cuban ropa vieja, I returned it (told her not to replace it, she said they would charge it regardless, so I told her it was cold, the 2nd one the ropa vieja meat was hot, but the mofongo tasted like it was nuked in the microwave plus it was sweet, i didn't think mofongos are supposed to be sweet, also sent it back and paid for it, because it was billed even if i couldn't eat either one) The fish tacos were good, but one of the taco shells was super burnt or as my friend said "alto grado de caramelisacion". The food is usually very good. Friendly staff, frozen sangria. Octopus 🐙 salad is great. I was very disappointed that I didn't enjoy my meal, cause you spend $40 in a meal, you wanna be able to eat it. That is the point of going out to dinner, to enjoy your dinner. It is the 1st time we didn't like our meal there. It was 8 of us. Only my meal was cold, and only our fish tacos...
