This evening, I had an important business call and wanted to take it from the beach. We decided to arrive early and have dinner at Kai, a restaurant we see regularly while visiting Jobos. Given how busy it always appears, we assumed it would be a great dining choice. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

Upon arrival, we seated ourselves and observed multiple servers passing by without acknowledging us. Despite three different employees walking past our table, no one greeted us or took our order. After waiting for approximately 10 minutes, a server finally approached to take our drink and food order. We requested a bucket of Coronas, Stuffed Mahi Mahi, and a burger.

After 30 minutes, our food arrived. The burger was overcooked, dry, and lacked flavor, while the Mahi Mahi was also dry and had the distinct taste of previously frozen fish—far from fresh. After reading other reviews, it appears this is a common issue.

Overall, unless you are a local frequenting the bar scene, the experience is likely to be disappointing. The lack of attentiveness from the staff, the extended wait time, and the subpar food quality made for an underwhelming dining experience. Given the restaurant's busy nature, one would expect better service and higher food standards. Unfortunately, Kai did not meet those...

I really love this place, it's located right on the main strip of Jobos Beach, where everything happens, KAI Rocks, the food 🍲 is something that you need to try, let it be the Mofongo with Caldo de Pescao and carne frita (mouth watering) to the Lobster mega delicious plate and you'll be eating this right on the beach 🏖 with a very special, spectacular and unique that only KAI will offer, and then there is this waiter, her name is Meriel, she will treat you with her utmost respect, and deliver exactly what you expect from a professional waiter, she's so special that her smile ☺ shines miles away. She is not only real good, she is the One you need attending and taking care of you. Beers of any kind, very nice and cold, cocktails are served as well and they are real good. KAI also has live music making this Restaurant even better. Got to tell you if you ever come to Jobos Beach 🏖 make sue you make KAI your number pit stop 🛑. You'll come back. BTW, make sure you ask for Meriel to take care of you. Any waiter/waitress can take care of you at KAI, but Meriel will Cater to your needs and you'll be very...

We only have drinks, but…..

The place is in a wonderful spot. It’s the kind of beach bar I wish I could own. They have decent happy hour specials so if you are there with some friends grab a bucket.

My issue with the place is that the bar staff always seem to have an attitude. I’ve been there a lot over the last few years and it’s always the same. The bar staff look amazing, great looking people. However they have total attitudes and are not friendly. I mean I get it - dealing with tourists every day would get on my nerves too, but you are in the hospitality business. A polite smile can go a long way.

Let me be clear - I always go with family and friends so this isn’t about me trying to hit on the staff or anything. They just always look and act like they hate being there. I have seen one of the staff give attitude to someone who didn’t speak Spanish well (not cool).

The drinks are tasty, and the prices are ok. It’s definitely worth visiting to grab a Pina Colada or bucket of beers. However they need to address the personality problem before I can give this place a...

Great view, good food, good service. In my opinion its a bit too pricey for the quality. Definitely:) but its Jobos - thus its touristic so i understand. We prdered seafood broth which was tasty. Fried calamari as an appetiser. They were yummy!!! However 12$ for that little plate. Too much. Btw soup was 5$. Then lobster tail with one side is 35$, and we also got a snapper fillet with salad. Dont remember the price for that. Parking is just from the other side of the street but its tiny, so if u come in the evening or when its busy - u’ll really struggle to find a place. We were there at 4pm on Monday and it was pretty empty so we didnt wait that long for the food. Normaly it takesforever. Id recommend coming here if u’re planing to visit and explore around Jobos ;) hope this helps! #GoodPeopleClub

Another favorite in the Jobas Beach area. This place is perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and for a night out. We had dinner here our first night in the island and sat right on the patio looking right onto the beach. It’s a great vibe and the food was delicious. I loved the friend cheese to start. Our mains were a stuffed mahi mahi wrapped in bacon with cream cheese and the shrimp Mofongo. Both were amazing but the mahi mahi was the breadwinner here. During the day hanging at the beach, we would pop in for a frozen Pina Colada. Their frozen drinks are amazing!! Lots of TVs on too which was perfect for the World Cup games.
