It’s taken me a while to think about this review but honestly I am just so distraught about the outcome of my hair cut I just couldn’t stay silent. especially because this salon has such high ratings and I really trusted that I would get the result I was hoping for.

I made it very clear when I called and when I was assigned to my stylist Kelly that I have serious PTSD over past bad hair cuts. In fact this is the first time I considered a cut in over 2 years because the last one I had in Cali was FINALLY good. But I know I was over due.

I said please, i do not want to see the layers, just trimming up the dead ends, i really just want my same hair style but just cleaned up. This is not what I got at all. I can see all the layers, it looks like a hack job to be honest. Especially in the front. I like to let my hair naturally air dry and not always style it but now i have no choice but to style it. In addition I like to have a blended look, this generally happens after my hair is dried, a stylist goes through the dried hair and feathers the ends, my current cut has straight cuts on the end, another things i specifically asked to not have. I always say, no marry Jane cut!

I am literally embarrassed to go out in public with my natural dried hair now. I have been brought to tears many nights because my hair is part of my life force.

Luckily my hair is long enough I should be able to go to Cali and get it fixed but this has really been upsetting. I’m traveling for 3 months in Thailand and I can’t wear my natural hair, so frustrating!!

Hi my name is Dolly. I was referred to Art n Illusions Hair Salon by my daughter. On my first visit I was greeted with a smile and very friendly lady at the front of the salon. I was asked who my appointment was with and I told them Annetta. As soon as Annetta heard that she poked her head around and greeted me as well. This is my first time going to a different stylist for over 7 years. I was very nervous. I was there to get my hair cut short. I was taken back before my appointment time and assured I would be taken care of. Annetta told me she appreciated me coming in and I was in good hands. I told her what I wanted and showed her a picture of it. She told me we could accomplish the cut but not immediately. She explained to me why and I understood. She told me to just relax. She cut my hair and explained everything she did. I was thrilled with the outcome and I told her I would be back for my color in a couple of weeks. I also had my eyebrow done and she did an excellent job! I have never been more pleased with my hair and the greetings I received. Very friendly AND very efficient and skilled group of people. I got my hair cut about a month ago, so this is a little past due. Kelley has absolutely changed my life. It’s a bit dramatic, but I have super curly hair. I have gone all 30 years of my life not knowing I could look this good until I met this other lady with curly hair at my restaurant job. I asked her where she cut her hair, and she told me she did it herself and gave me her card. I’ve gone to so many people and taken so many chances and just thought, “it’s time for a cut. What’s another chance?” I explained to her what I wanted and she delivered flawlessly. I will never ever ever go anywhere for a haircut EVER again.
