The Gym Jax — Attraction in Jacksonville

I went to this gym back in 2022 to rebuild my strength and fitness. At the time I wasn't medicated for bipolar disorder. Eventually, I ended up becoming manic and then psychotic. I reached out to one of the owners at the time and I can tell he wanted to be understanding and accommodating to my needs while there. I thank him for that. I think there was a lot of misunderstandings and miscommunication between myself and some of the staff and other members. However, I do belive one of the coaches there that appeared to be coaching some youth in sport specific training for baseball had a grudge against me. Perhaps for taking attention away from him to me from my training. Im not exactly sure. At that time I was in need of some wholesome friends and since he seemed around my I began to reach out to him some to get to know and comfortable with each other and come to an understanding. Unfortunately, I believe I was perceiving some pretense coming from him, and again, im not exactly sure and all I can do is deduce from the bits and pieces I habe in my memory. As of now im medicated, training again and getting stronger, and took lessons learned from this gym to my current one. Before I conclude. Just because someone looks at you in the gym squiting their eyes doesn't mean they are attracted to you, dislike you, or are judging you. Maybe they arent wearing their glasses? I did wear my glasses a couple times while training in hopes that would get the message across. Who knows? I still think this is a good gym with some good people in their who take their training seriously. Also, I still think that one huge bodybuilder who is tall and a beard that seemed to try to protect the young girl with red hair from me has yhe best ass in yhe whole...

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Way overpriced for a gym that doesn’t even have working water fountains. This is not a gym where you can train hard. It is basically a planet fitness except worse because there are more rules and nothing works or is maintained. They will bombard you with a barrage of complaints, single you out and insult you saying things such as “you stink.” The lead trainer of dynamic fitness was rude to me and is kinda intimidating. He’s “bodybuilder” who thinks he is king of the gym and anyone who trains harder than him has to go. The staff said that I sweat too much and stink meanwhile the gym is 80 degrees inside because they refuse to use the A/C. I cleaned every piece of equipment and left it cleaner than I found it and still received complaints from the owner that I don’t wipe down equipment which was completely false. As soon as you walk in the gym you are intoxicated by the smell of mold/mildew. I also tried the massage services and paid 100$ and caught a nasty illness from the dirty massage bed and I was blowing bloody snot out of my nose with a terrible sore throat for over a week. She barely put any effort whatsoever into the back massage and it was a total waste of my time and money yet I still tipped. This is a gym for women competing in a beauty pageant, and geriatrics who are buying into their scam personal training. There are way better gyms in Jacksonville. You have baileys and The Pit just down the street if you want to train hard which are both cheaper, have better equipment, less drama, and far better facilities maintenance. You also can go to planet fitness which is just across the street and you can pay much less and workout with much better equipment and use...

Feels dirty and looks dirty,dont go here they will wait for months to charge you than when you go to cancel it you need to wait for 30 days so they can charge you again and make you pay the club fee even if you havent been in town for months or even go to the gym. Charging me 100 buck to cancel essentially when called to rectify and ask why they dont charge me monthly like I signed up for they said it's because my account didnt have enough money in it even tho I know for a fact I have a decent amount of money in that linked account and if that was the case wouldn't it have been professional to call me to rectify the situation with my bank instead of letting this happen 2 times I would have thought because I installed the owner's floors in his house I would have been treated with alittle more respect from the guy but hey not everyone can bet kind to people who helped them.(now 2 months later they still didnt even cancel my membership like I asked so they are still charging me month to month) *edit they dont...
