Hair Tease Studio (and Roberta specifically) saved my hair!

I’m new to Jacksonville from Los Angeles, and any woman knows that finding a person you trust to do your hair is challenging. Once you find someone good, you tend to stay for life.

Thanks to Hair Tease putting a Groupon offer up in the area, I found Roberta. I looked up Google, FB, Groupon and Yelp reviews (all great reviews) and decided to try them out. Prices were reasonable, location close enough to me, with easy parking.

And the great reviews were spot on, especially the previous yelp one about the rescue of the blonde! Oh my - Roberta - The woman can do hair! I needed someone to rescue my blonde highlights from the harsh beach salt air and harsh mineral Jax water. Roberta takes time to evaluate and set up a treatment plan for your hair. And it’s worth it! It was one of my first ventures outside the house as the pandemic became more manageable in Jax.

This quaint, woman-owned salon is a gem hidden inside a tucked away strip mall off Beach. It’s sweetly decorated with antique mirrors and frames and reposed furniture (thanks again to Roberta’s great eye for decor and talent for furniture painting). There are 4-5 stylists not all in on the same days/hours, and each works independently. They have coffee and water and southern hospitality.

Roberta also sells great salon hair products at low to no mark up. She also adapted her schedule to accommodate my schedule between her fishing trips. She’s funny as hell with her wisdom, sayings, and local tips. I even found a wonderful dentist and landscape / garden supply thanks to her recommendations.

I’ve been to her regularly over the last year and she is consistent, pampers your hair, shares her wisdom of biscuits, local Jax, plants and landscaping (her original career) with kindness and generosity. I’ve even discovered she cares for her long term elderly clients with dignity- honoring their restricted budget with reasonable prices and helping them feel beautifully quaffed. So sweet.

Needless to say, I highly recommend Hair...

Amanda is a genius. I had previously gotten an ombre in May of last year, my hair is an auburn and I went with a very vibrant red ombre. Since then (its now February) I haven't touched my hair and I let it fade naturally. My wedding is approaching in less than a month so I decided I would finally find a new stylist. Amanda spent time discussing with me what would be best, going back to my natural color with a punch. She also recommended pick-a-boo highlights, and everything ended up PERFECT! Not only perfect but it took less than 3hrs-I've never spent less than 5hrs in the chair! She colored, highlighted, cut, styled-all in that short time! She's gifted with those clippers and her color- make the right decision and get your hair...

My hair is no where near what I asked for. Totally dissappointing! Edited because I can't respond. You and your stylist have been very unprofessional because of my bad review. Not everyone wants the person that messes up their hair to begin with to fix it! Very poor judgment used in your methods of dealing with a bad review. I will be sure to give you a bad review on every site I can...
