Nixon Library -- Central Arkansas Library System — Attraction in Jacksonville

Sometimes there are forgotten or hidden gems in a city. The Esther D. Nixon Library in Jacksonville is one of those places I think often falls into this category.

This library is clean an modern. It has meeting rooms, study rooms, computers for public use, video games, DVD's, and of course books. The calendar is often full of fun activities for many ages. From live music and movies, to guest lecturers and how to classes. If you are interested in expanding your interests or learning a new skill or hobby the Nixon Library is the place to do it.

The only reason I did not provide 5 stars is the public internet. Unfortunately when there is an influx of youth with digital devices it slows down. I find it a minor irritation only. However if this service improves I would certainly provide them with 5 stars.

Today was supposed to be a day where I take my 2 year old daughter to the library to get books and have some play time. The black female security robot cop was so rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Causing a scene in the library as if we did something wrong. She shouldn't be working there. The people who sit behind the desk are rude as well. The black male security guard wasn't no better. He came into the children's section just to walk around me and my child as if we were a danger or committing a crime. Too many people have said the people who work there are racist and they single out certain black people all for nothing. Learn how to treat all people with respect. Very helpful and informative! I may be hot for teacher, but that's because librarian is on fire 🔥🤤😍🔥 I need to go back to the library...for books or something, quit asking questions. I just want to edjmucate myself, yes I need the librarians help, didn't I say quit asking questions? So what if I said the librarian was a smokin hottie on a Google review. So you think that's why I'm going to the library all the time now?
