This is what transpired this evening at the Walgreens in Jacksonville, AR On Monday July 11th, 2016 a little over an hour ago.... Smh people make me sick!! Laura's Story Walgreens in Jacksonville, AR night shift...shame on ALL of you at the front, except for the young black female... Monday night, tonight, at about 9:45 PM. I walked in the store, and seen a young black man was on his knees in the middle of the floor, talking to two managers, both white females, one older with short hair, the other younger with dark hair. I knew something wasn't right immediately. He was saying things like I know God is here, I need God...he pointed at me as I was walking up and said You know him too...I asked him if he was alright. He said no, I have to find God or something. I thought of how I used to feel and behave when I was bad on drugs. And they always talk about God, right? So I said, very kindly, because I felt bad for this man, I said man, you're gonna get in trouble, you should go home...knowing the women probably already called the cops. I asked them if he did anything wrong, they said no. And right then, 2 Jax police walk in. They were very nice. I was very concerned, considering everything that's been going on, and he wasn't in his right mind, it seemed. But the cops were polite, and asked him to come outside and talk, and he went. Then, this is what pissed me off, right after he walked out the door, everyone up front, except the black girl, busted out laughing! Like it was so funny, they were doubling over! The black girl looked upset and walked away. I asked all of em, what the hell was so funny about this. That man is having problems, and y'all are laughing. What is funny, That he is possibly on drugs? I swear I could hear crickets. So then the old lady manager said he was off his medicine, he has mental problems. I'm like ok, so what's going to happen to him? Did he break the law? And she walked in the back as she said no. Then I get up front, and looked straight in the cashiers eyes, and said it seems to me that as a black man yourself, you of all people wouldn't laugh at this situation. Are you gonna laugh at me too? . And when I left, the cops were still talking to the guy. He wasn't in cuffs, he wasn't in the car, so maybe he won't get arrested, but hopefully they have resources for this man. If you read my whole post, thank you. Because I hope someone can pass this story on to the people Over this Walgreens. That was terrible. There was a young, black male cashier, young black female cashier, and two female white managers. They need to be...
Read moreI literally just had the worst experience with a pharmacy/pharmacist that I’ve ever had in my life. After dental surgery, dropped off prescriptions at 10:30 this morning. At no point were we told that they were busy, covered up, snowed under, overwhelmed, understaffed or otherwise incapable of filling the prescription in a timely manner. At 3:30, I went to the drive-through and pulled up to see if the prescription was ready, I was asked if I’d received a text I said no and she told me it wasn’t ready and that I would receive a text. Mind you, this is the pain medication needed desperately. She didn’t bother to check it’s status either. Finally at 9:26 pm, I called out of desperation to see if the prescription was ready, and was prepared to demand the prescriptions back so that we could get them filled by somebody tomorrow, but the gentleman on the phone stated that it was ready. I jumped in my car and drove up there but kept wondering why I never received the text and how long had it been ready. When I got to the window I asked the man what time was this prescription was ready. He stated it had been ready since shortly after 4 PM. I shook my head and calmly stated that that was kind of unacceptable considering it was immediately after surgery and we needed the pain meds however, after the word unacceptable he raised his voice and began to tell me how he’d had 700 customers that today and how busy he was and continued to talk over me with whatever he was saying but I talked over him right back and told him that it was our very first and very last time to get prescriptions filled at Walgreens. He continued his diatribe of complaints of how busy they had been so I started raising my voice so that he would understand our conversation was over and said can I have my medicine please. Unfortunately, he was still in complaint mode to the point that I had to say can I have my medicine please three times. Not to mention the young lady that rang up the sale rolled her eyes at me when I told her we only needed two out of the three prescriptions . The customer service is nonexistent. If you need your prescription in a timely fashion it won’t happen. And if you dare to tell them that they service is unacceptable, prepare for a speech from a miserable worker who needs to find a new line of work because working with the public is clearly not his forte. I will be calling corporate to let them know this very thing. Take your business...
Read moreI use the Jacksonville Walgreens for our pharmacy, so I am here at least once a month to handle business. This Walgreens in downtown Jacksonville is the closest to Lonoke. It's well located right in the center of town, at the intersection of James and Main Streets. I actually switched from the Walgreens in Cabot to this one, after using this Pharmacy once. The Pharmacy ran so much more efficiently than the one in Cabot did, that there was no comparison between the two! I always had trouble with getting anyone to answer phones in the Pharmacy in Cabot. That may not sound like a biggie for most people, but it is a deciding factor for me. Every month I have to call the Pharmacy and request them to fill a med before I drive there. I would often drive to Cabot, thinking my prescription was good to go, only to learn that my order wouldn't be ready until the next day. Which would make me come unhinged! I hate making a fruitless drive, then having to make the exact same trip the NEXT day. The Cabot Walgreens would let the phone ring until it would shut me off. This happened multiple months, multiple days per month. Even had them answer, put me on hold, then never come back! Oftentimes I had to just GO THERE to order the fill face-to-face. Cabot never had enough staff in their Pharmacy to take care of phones and customers at the counter. Long waits were common there. Jacksonville's Pharmacy is run so much more efficiently. The techs get you checked out quickly without long lines forming. I've only had one time of feeling like pulling my hair out in Jacksonville due to my order being messed up, and not ready for pickup till the NEXT day! Besides the Pharmacy, I enjoy the monthly coupon booklets available in the store. Their sales are really pretty good on vitamins, pain relievers, medications, paper goods, personal hygiene products and all kinds of items. I always peruse the skin care and makeup aisles. They have good sale prices on quality skin care like No 7, Neutrogena, L'Oreal. They also have lots of makeup, many items on sale, as well as many shades of nail polish- essie, Sally Hansen and treatments. I can spend some significant time & money in Walgreens shopping their many aisles, and large selections. They even carry CBD creams and sprays for pain relief. The employees have been nothing but nice, helpful, and efficient. If you shop at the Jacksonville Walgreens, I think you will be well taken care of and a...
