I got a new car about 2 weeks ago (08/04/25) and the Android/Apple auto play wouldn't work. I called Toyota and they told me I needed to take it to a Toyota dealership to have the head unit updated. So on Monday the 11th I took my new car (2024 with absolutely NO scratches or anything) into Rusty Drewing Toyota to get the radio head unit updated so it would work on Android Auto play. Come to find out I just needed a multimedia cable vs a regular charging cable. We go pick it up and upon getting home my husband noticed a scratch. Of course by this time the shop is closed. I call them Tuesday morning and let them know that my new car had been scratched and it was very noticeable. Scott tells me to bring it by and he'd have his boss look at it. Upon his boss looking at it, his boss says I believe you (which I did have proof it wasnt there before w pictures and a screen shot of our security camera that is on my car), let me get in touch with our body shop and we'll give ya a call tomorrow, however it maybe a week or so before they are able to get you in. Ok, no big deal, I understand shops are busy. Upon getting the call as promised the next day. Im told to being it in this week. I wasn't expecting it to be this fast, and it to be this easy to deal with them. I honestly thought I'd have to fight them to get it resolved. I've heard nothing but positive things since Riley became Rusty and I have to say EVERY interaction (phone and in person) had been phenomenal. My main contact with Ruty Drewing has been Scott Petty. We dropped my car off around 7am Monday (08/18/25) due to me having to be at work by 8. The collision center doesn't open until 8 but Scott said he'd get it to them when they opened and that he did. We ask how long he expected them to have my car for the scratch repair/paint. Scott said hopefully by the end of the week but he couldn't guarantee that bc he wasnt sure what the collision centers schedule looked like. They called me on Wednesday (08/20/25) to tell me my car is ready. Being it was the automatic system I called back and spoke with the service center because my app was reading a error with the blind spot monitor. Scott advised he'd go get it from the body shop and take a look at it. I spoke with Scott around 12:30pm and by 2:20 I was getting a call back to explain what exactly happened and let me know my car was ready with the error fixed. We got there to pick it up after I got off work and they had it pulled in the shop with the keys in it. Scott (the manager) took us out there to inspect it. He found another spot, however it turned out to be dirt, but he was willing to make that right as well before releasing my car. These guys are amazing and there's not enough thanks that I can give to Scott P and his boss Scott, as they've been my contact with Rusty Toyota...
Read moreReview 1, June 2023: Like-New repair after minor deer collision. Insurance covered certified aftermarket parts, Toyota price-matched 100% factory parts. Long queue to get the vehicle in for disassembly and identification of any remaining repairs after exterior visual estimate, let us leave with the vehicle till that appointment to help defray rental vehicle costs (not covered by insurance). Convenient rental option at shop rate at the dealership next door to the collision center after vehicle went in for disassembly. Disassembly, revised estimate and repair completed timely, about 14 days. Overnighted final parts after calling around to locate them to several other dealerships and warehouses to ensure delivery day commitment. Vehicle released prior to settlement with insurance on revised estimate with payment of deductible. A less customer-oriented outfit could've held the vehicle till insurance settled and kept us racking up rental vehicle fees, not these folks. Regular text message updates and regular calls from Ryan at the Collision Center, convenient short-notice rental renewals by email with Jay in the dealership. Washed the inside and outside of the vehicle, inside to near-detailing level quality in cracks and crevices. This was unexpected and very appreciated. Other than the total time taken from accident to completion, attributable to how busy Rusty Drewing simply is, exacerbated by a slew of impossible-to-predict hailstorm repairs, we could not have asked for a better experience. Didn't realize how much we missed the truck till we got it back shiny and in Like-New condition. Congratulations to the Rusty Drewing team, you are doing everything right. Customer service and pride of workmanship from a bygone era. Will not hesitate to do business again and recommend Rusty Drewing Toyota to other Jeff City-area businesses and contacts.
Review 2, August 2023: Excellent service by Kevin Green in Sales and Matt Wilde in Finance on our new Tacoma lease. Love that Celestial Silver! Process was smooth and outperformed our originating dealer hands down. Will continue using Rusty Drewing for all our...
Read moreThanks to Rick Six, my recent vehicle trade/purchase at Rusty Drewing Toyota was perhaps the most efficient and professional transaction in my 50+ years of buying vehicles. The experience far surpassed my expectations.
I had been looking for a particular Highlander Hybrid color combination for the past six months. I finally found one in the allocation process at Rusty Drewing Toyota, almost 700 miles from where I live! As luck would have it, I connected with Rick Six, in Sales. I immediately felt a sense of trustworthiness with Rick. We established a trade-in value on my old Highlander. He explained the process for out of state trades/purchases and he kept in close contact with me throughout the manufacturing and delivery of the vehicle to the dealership.
After 12 hours of driving to Jefferson City, I was dreading what had always been a protracted process of “hurry up and wait”while signing papers. Fortunately for me, Rick was well prepared and the transaction went quickly, smoothly, and professionally. I appreciated Rick’s patience in explaining the new technology incorporated in my new vehicle. He knew it like the back of his hand, but he also knew I had just made a 12 hour drive and I wasn’t absorbing the information quite as quickly as I would have normally.
Trey Warren, the Business Manager, had all of the documents prepared including the title application for my state of residence. When I went to the state vehicle tag and title office yesterday with the documents from Trey, I was in and out in no time.
Overall, it was a great experience! I have already recommended Rick Six and Rusty Drewing Toyota to three of my friends. Was it worth it spending 24 hours round trip driving there? Absolutely! Many...
