The place is gorgeous, the food is disappointing. Especially when considering price.
After reviewing a rather strange menu for a Mexican restaurant including pasta & hamburger options, I decided it best to pick a simple meal. Something that can't be messed up. A vegetarian combo.
My beans and fried rice were unseasoned or at most very poorly seasoned. My bean burritos only tasted good do to their queso being slathered on top. I had ordered their vegetarian combo however was charged for a regular combo and extra for my queso even though the vegetarian combos included this in price.
My partner was offered refill on his drink while I, who had finished my water before he had, was left with no refill the entire time.
My partner offered me a bite of the blandest burrito gigante imaginable. If you are looking for tasty Mexican food stick with El Espolon or- better yet-...
Read moreJust ok customer service. Don't serve alcoholic drinks but leave an alcohol menu on the table for you to view only to tell you their not serving alcohol. That's OK I'm adult enough to understand they probably have not acquired their state license yet. Then there is the food. Had to be the worst and most poorly made ceviche I have ever had. The cheese sauce was $4.75 for 4ozs and was literally 1 clump of cheese. "Maybe the microwave broke. The food was horribly bland like it came out of a bag some place, dumped on a grill and served with no seasoning. I can honestly say it was sadly repugnant. I understand this is a fairly new restaurant but may want to invest in someone that can cook. Serving people a ton of food that is garbage quality is a waste of your time and our money. Do better... you won't last long in this economy...

This type of Latin inspired food is desperately needed in Jefferson City to break up the monotony of the typical Mexican restaurant. The food/menu had an emphasis on fresh ingredients. A lot of attention was paid to presentation of the food as well. A nice departure of slop on a plate other Mexican restaurants. Fish tacos were delectable, shrimp tacos were described as amazing taco salad bowl was light and crispy and beef was nicely seasoned. The ceviche was made with shrimp menu listed salmon. I was enjoying it to much to question it but will check menu when I go back. Which will be often. Service was quick and servers were excellent. Salsa was good if not remarkable. Chips light and thin. Cheese dip was...
