Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Jefferson City

I was just here at this place today and had to wait an absolute hr for my food and then when we rang the bell to see what was taking so long they had to re ring our order in because someone had screwed up. They said theyd give us 50% off and 2 free shakes. We said ok whatever and try it. Then they put someone on the intercom that can't hardly speak English, they couldn't under stand us and we couldn't understand them. Then she had to come out and take out order, then they were out of Dr Pepper, then they put something in our order that wasn't ours and had to bring condiments out twice and needless to say we were there over an hour and it was absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention being 7 Mon pregnant with two hungry children and was on way home from vacation and was hoping to stop in for a quick bite and ended up taking longer than if we had gotten out and went to a damn restaurant. I will never go back, I don't recommend this place and the manager should have tooKen care of everything after the first mistake but instead only came out one time. Ridiculous and my sonic by my house has way more education and knowledge to know customer service is most important and they have horrible customer service and terrible ways of handling things. This place is a disgrace and so is the employees and manager. So much for fast food more like slower than a restaurant style. All I got was a cherry lime-aid. It was cold and refreshing. Then it got wedged in my cupholder. I tried to wiggle it out and so began... THE INCIDENT! Its happened to all of us. I know its not just me. ANYWAY, I was experiencing a bit of difficulty as I tried to wiggle the route 44 size beverage loose enough so I could free it to take a drink. We all know what happens next, right? Yes! My thumb and forefinger simultaneously broke through the styrofoam at the rim of the cup causing both sides to crack and the result was a flash flood of cherry limeade that promptly filled up both cup holders in the console. Like usual in this type of situation my instincts automatically kicked in. I combined my gift of lightning quick thinking with my highly developed razor fast reflexes and blindly grabbed at styrofoam cup a few more times creating more cracks and effectively spilling the entire contents of my sticky beverage absolutely and completely. Of course it didn't just fill the cup holders. It went everywhere. All over my hand and my arm. All over both of my seats. Running down the seats to all of the nooks and crannies that are really hard to reach when I'm trying to clean out my car. It completed it's journey by running down to the floorboards and all over my cute new shoes. And of course I was on the Highway by this point and nowhere near a place I could pull off to get paper towels or anything to alleviate the stickiness that was all over me and my car. We arrived around 10pm. Ordered two shakes, small popcorn chicken, and a small fry. Got the food almost immediately but sat for about 7-8 minutes waiting for the shakes. When she handed me the shakes they were literally the consistency of milk. When I asked the employee if she was aware that the shakes were basically milk, she said "Yes, we just got done cleaning the machine and its not cold yet." I asked, "Don't you think that would have been something to tell us when we ordered them." She just looked at me like I had two heads. In addition to the drinks not even being shakes, the outside of the cups were sticky and were dripping from where they overflowed. I asked her if she was aware of the state of the cups, again she looked at me like I was crazy. She then said, "have a great night" and shut the window. We don't eat out very often but this is a good reminder why I don't even waste my time with it. I don't expect much from fast-food staff but I didn't realize all resemblance of common sense had disappeared. Before ppl start asking - no I didn't ask for a refund (because I didn't care about one) but the staff member made no attempt to offer one or to give a credit voucher for a future visit.
