Fudo Tattoo — Attraction in Jefferson Township

I’ve been getting tattoo’d for the last 15 years. Upper body, lower body, ribs, etc.. I found FUDO on IG and after falling down a rabbit hole, I came across George D.’s page (@georgedtattoos).

I’m starting an American Traditional arm sleeve. I contacted George to see if he’d be interested in doing the first piece, a shark on my rear arm/tricep. He was down and I’m glad because his work was incredible.

Leading up to the appointment, he collaborated with me in figuring out what it was I wanted. We went back and forth exchanging ideas until we landed on the one I wanted.

In the day of the appointment, George was on time and had everything ready to go. I think we were tattoo’ing within 15-20 minutes after my arrival. There was no waiting, strictly business which I appreciate as someone with a full time job and not much time to spare on weekdays. Throughout the tat, he made sure to ask me if I needed breaks but when I said no, he kept his head down and was cruising through the tattoo. I was in and out with new art in less than 2-2.5 hours. And despite being so efficient, his work did not suffer from a quality standpoint. His line work was clean and crisp. I’ll definitely be back to work with George and soon.

As far as the shop is concerned, it was super clean and the staff was welcoming. They have an insane amount of flash on the walls. True OG shop.

I plan on finishing my arm sleeve with George and a few of his fellow artists at Fudo. I highly highly recommend anyone in the Chicagoland area looking for bold American traditional tattoos or Japanese style to give this place a look. 👀

This tattoo shop is one of the only tattoo shops I genuinely trust. They have an amazing variety of artists and they are all great people. I have gotten a handful of tattoos from Dustin (the owner) and have never had any issues. He is very professional, answers in a timely manner, works with you on your budget and your concept, tattoos very quickly but does not have a heavy hand, and all of my tattoos that were done by him have healed beautifully. I would recommend this shop to anyone. He has tattooed me, my fiancé, my fiancé's brother, and my own sister and we are all always blown away by his work. They have great flash available including ones that change every month and ones that are changed yearly, including tons of other ones all over the walls of the shop. I now live 3 hours away and always make the drive to come back...

I had my second ever tattoo done with Miles after being recommended by a friend. From start to finish, the process was amazing. Fudo is as clean as can be and clearly very sterile. Everyone was kind and polite, even though I’m a bit of a tattoo newbie. I had a custom design which I was working on for months on my computer, but wanted a true artist like Miles to touch up before tattooing it on my arm. He did so perfectly, even before I asked. His skills are truly amazing, and his kindness was also extremely appreciated. I walked in with my dream in mind, and walked out with my dream on my body. This tattoo is an homage to my homeland of Israel, and this helps me feel like I am always back home, wherever I may be. Thank you Miles,...
