Plant Shop Chicago — Attraction in Jefferson Township

This shop is fantastic. Variety of different plant types, cool ambiance/music, and friendly staff.

I would 100% come here again.

Reason I give it a 4/5 was because of a rather small detail that honestly kinda rubbed me the wrong way. I came into the shop with a friend and spent well over $170 on plants and joined their loyalty program. Pretty sure that’s above average for the typical plant shop buyer. I bought a Monstera that was around 45$. It did not come with a plastic saucer like the rest of the plants in the shop. So I asked for one to come with it. Would you believe the guy charged me the $3 for the plastic saucer?

Either the guy didn’t read the room on me purchasing $170 worth of plants and the missing saucer, or the shop is hanging on by a thread and needs to nickel and dime for $3? Again, a rather small detail, but customer service lacked in that moment.

Cool spot, will still come back, but just please don’t be this way to customers that come into break major bread with you. Not...

The staff and team at the Plant Shop are great and knowledgeable. I bought my first big Monstera plant last year and sought their help in repotting to a bigger pot and get it to grow upright as it was getting heavy.

I called ahead and spoke to Chance who explained best hours and days to drop off the plant. I brought it in last Saturday and Ozzy and Chance were there to further assist. Ozzy helped in recommending pot size, proper soil and various ways to stake the vines to help it grow upright.

I was in no rush to get the repotted plant back and they said to have it back in a few days. To my wonderful surprise, Ozzy repotted it on the same day and I was able to pick it up next morning.

I’m so happy with my new repotted Monstera and hope that I can continue to keep it thriving.

They also had 15% off that weekend and I left with an adorable Peperomia.

And another favorite plant shop of mine, Plant Shop Chicago. Love the esthetic and vibe every time I walk in. I guess you can say they're pretty hip, lol. Very active on socials and the community. They have plant auctions every Sunday on their instagram. Staff is friendly and were very helpful when I first started getting into the hobby. Plants are in good condition and have a good variety of potting medium.

They have a GREAT selection of cacti and succulents. I'd say that's what sets them apart from the rest of the plant shops. Even though cacti/succulents are not my plant type of choice, I can't help but ogle at a few they have on display and for sale.
