Liberty State Park Park & Ride — Attraction in Jersey City

Safe, affordable, convenient lot right off 78! FREE ON WEEKENDS!

Right next to the Liberty State Park light rail which can go both north and south bound (easily get into downtown in 10-12 mins to take the PATH into the city). During the weekdays, trains usually come every 5-10 minutes. Evenings and weekends you might wait up to 15 minutes. Also easy access to get back on 78 towards 440/95/1/9 (entrance to highway about 2 mins away)

This is one of the safer lots in my opinion, area is quiet & there is always private security patrolling 24/7 and occasionally also the transit police are in the area

Costs recently went up but still very affordable so it’s about $4/day or $68/month. Did I mention weekends are FREE!

DAILY: make sure you park in the south side of the lot where the spaces are numbered (you’ll need this number to pay at the kiosk). Note that you CANNOT prepay for multiple days, only one day at a time

MONTHLY: you can park in the north side closer to the light rail station. You can purchase monthly pass about a week in advance of the month start—monthly passes only for purchase at certain kiosk near the lot and it will dispense a tag to hang (not tied to a certain license plate so can switch out if driving different vehicles)
