We took a child here for the testing to determine whether he has ADHD or not based on his behaviors.
The psychologists here are good. They deal well with children, and do a good job explaining their tests and the results to parents.
We had originally scheduled to take our child in back in April to see a new psychologist. She did the initial interview with me and our son, mostly just asking questions about the behavior that prompted us to bring him in the first place. We then scheduled a follow-up, which was the actual testing of our child for May.
This is where things took a bad turn. About a week before the follow-up, the office called and told us that their new psychologist, who'd only been with them for a few months, had quit suddenly, and without notice. They rescheduled our appointment for July.
Then, not even a week before our July appointment, we got another call. The psychologist we had rescheduled with had an emergency, and they had to reschedule again, this time for August, a date more than a month later.
We finally got in to see someone in August, and they did a good job, but the follow-up for this appointment, a telehealth call just to discuss the test results in more detail (which the psychologist said should be ready in about 2 weeks) could not be scheduled for over a month again.
Overall, while I can recommend the doctors here, the place is overbooked, and does a poor job getting anything done in a timely manner. In our case, the tests we're doing might affect our child's school development and learning, so the fact that it's taken nearly six months just to get it done is very aggravating.
TL;DR If you have other options and need your child to see a psychologist quickly, that might be a better way to go, as it takes a long time to get in here. The doctors are good, though, so if you have the time to wait for an appointment I would...
Read moreThey cared for my son for about 14 years. Amazing staff. They made sure my son had the life I could not give him after my stroke. He was fully quadriplegic and tube fed, wheelchair bound with MANY health issues. Over the years we all learned alot from each other. There were some tough times but always resolved very well. Austin touched many people's lives. He was a smiling sweet boy. Seemed to me they all loved my son. Very much. My favorite person would have to be Mary Goodrich, the social worker for Child Serve. His regular nurses were like family and always will be. To me.. Theres several I will never forget. Never. When my son passed, they made sure they did everything they could to help me and my family. Including letting me sit there for hours until I was able to accept it, and leave. They never once left him alone and when he became very Ill, all of the nurses were there in his room with him, as they loved him so much. It's taken me almost a year to leave my review. I apologize.. Still grieving my heart out... But I wanted anyone else.. and them, at ChildServe to know... that we/I appreciate EVERYTHING they did to help and care for and guide my son. He even graduated and I feel that is an amazing thing. Especially when he never said a word. They treated him as "normal" as possible. He even went to prom. His Teacher Stacy meant alot to Austin, and I. I thank them all. Everyone there. Phenomenal facility. in my opinion, the best that there...
Read moreMy list of experiences with this place is horrible. The only thing they're good for is the therapy and that's it. There's no cameras in the building so there be no proof to behind your child getting hurt in their care which will happen even if you confront them over and over and over again about how they care for your child. I swear the staff is only there for a paycheck not the actual care of your child. The supervisor will leave before the end of the day anyways. They asked me what they can do I tell them what they can do and they still don't do it. Sadly my son really needs the therapy and needs to be in a place like this and it took us almost a year plus to get him in here but now I feel like I need to get him out and find a better place to take him. I told them over and over again with the amount of accident reports I've gotten that my son's going to seriously get hurt in their care and then whoop-dee-doo it's not like they cared enough to listen and now my son has a broken arm from being...
