Adopt A Cat Foundation Resale Store — Attraction in Juno Beach

Very nice when we went in. However, my son, who is a musician, saw a guitar in a back room with the door opened. He asked to see it and a woman asked what he was talking about. He had to tell her twice where it was. When she went back with him she rudely said, “that is my managers private office and nothing is for sale. Oh, and that is not a guitar, it’s a violin.” (Keep in mind the room was open, my son knows what a guitar is, and everything looked like it was for sale like the rest of the store). I said, “Ok, thank you for informing us.” She then looked again at the “violin” and realized it was a guitar and said it was a guitar. However, reminding nothing was for sale in that room. The woman was very rude and there was no reason for that behavior. We visit here yearly and not that it matters, but we will never go in that store again. And, my inlaws who winter here and love to support thrift stores will not support them and will tell their community not to support...

Not sure what the manager’s problem is, but she is very rude. Barbara, at the register just did not seem to be welcoming. I put something on the register and quickly was given a rude and disrespectful experience. I asked her a question as to why she was acting in such a way, and her response was, I am the manager do you have something to say? I never thought I did anything wrong. And if I did, I would have been more than happy to correct my mistake, if I would have been told politely. My mistake being, putting my clothes on top of the counter near the register. Not sure if she is having a bad day. We all do, but today, Barbara was unfortunately, not a nice person.

This is such a hidden treasure in Northern Palm Beach County. As one who collects cat related items (not that they don't have other things), I am always able to find something unique and interesting at a reasonable price. It is also my go to place for inexpensive books and reading materials. And, the store mascot, Baxter, is always ready for a few pets! I read a previous review complaining about limited hours. They are always open when I go during their advertised hours. I know they are always in need of more volunteers at the store. Perhaps this person's time would be better spent making a difference for the cats instead of writing...
