This is an excellent tour. Things we really enjoyed: 1) The staff was amazing. Our guide was very personal, full of knowledge, related information well and made you feel like you were getting an “inside” tour. She was wonderful with our kids (8 and 10), and even let them into some of the rooms the adults were kept out of (so thankful they didn’t break anything). It was mainly enjoyable because our guide was so good. She was on her last week giving tours, and we felt very lucky to have been with her as she closes out this chapter of her life. 2) The rooms are decorated with the original decor. The family managed to keep nearly all the original furnishings and decor, and so walking through the house really does feel like stepping into a different era. I’ve been on other tours where many furnishings are staged, but this is all real and very authentic. 3) The amenities in the house are fascinating. Many things were way ahead of their time. Without spoiling all that the house contains, I think you will be impressed with how “modern” many of the gadgets are. 4) The story of the Conrad family is very interesting. The story progresses as you go from room to room, and it keeps you engaged the whole time. 5) The house is beautiful. This probably goes without saying, but it’s a wonderful house to view.
Highly recommend this tour. For the price, it is...
Read moreI went there along time ago I believe it was while I was still in 5th grade but it was like a field trip so my class and I went to the Conrad mansion to have tour of it and I must say I don’t know how the teachers even got us in but I’m glad they did because inside was just awesome and very pretty. I wish to go in again with my husband and son as soon as I can afford it but that may take a while first. Although I must say I have biological parents that live in Kalispell so when I go up there to see them or just to shop around I always make a drive by a few times go really take in the outside which is always breathtakingly beautiful. Very well kept up on the outside and I love it when it’s all in bloom. Too bad we can have a tour next Friday on the 26th the husband has a doctors appointment very early in the morning so after the appointment it would just be great to just have a little time to wander around the grounds and have a tour. At least that’s my thought. I always will still love the mansion even if I don’t get to step foot in it...
Read moreI’ve never been a huge reviewer, or a history man. But today I am making an exception. I found this place after looking up things to do in Kalispell, and thought me the wife and kids would give it a shot. Let me tell you, it was the best decision to go. We were on a time crunch, so we did a self guided tour, but there was this girl working there who absolutely made our day. We are for sure going to come back next time we are in the state and do a guided tour and request this specific guide. If you end up going there, especially with kids, ask for Mikah.I think that was her name , she was a young girl with blonde hair and had on really nice earrings my wife kept complimenting on the drive home back towards Washington. I guess my point is that she looked very professional, and went out of her way to show us a great time. My kids got a “dance lesson” from the guide too. That lady can really do the Charleston! Pass along our compliments from our little traveling...
