Gross. We visited Kalispell and Woodland Park hoping to let our toddler enjoy some time at the playground, but unfortunately, the experience left us feeling very uneasy and deeply disappointed. The park did not feel safe—especially for families with young children. There was a broken-down vehicle that appeared to be inhabited, with trash and personal belongings scattered nearby, and an off-leash dog roaming the area. People were shouting at each other and walking around half naked, some appeared to be having sex in middle of the day, under the trees.
We also observed what appeared to be drug deals with sketchy vehicles pulling in and out and a tweaker engaging with them while constantly going back and forth throughout the park to exchange money and bags.
While the playground itself was decent, the surrounding environment made it hard to relax or trust anyone. There were people vaping near the play structures, and multiple makeshift camps along the pond and stream, which raised additional safety and cleanliness concerns.
It’s truly unfortunate to see such a beautiful location in decline. Kalispell feels very different from how we remembered it years ago. Sadly, we won’t be returning to this park—or likely the town—as it no longer feels like a welcoming or safe place for...
Read moreWe visited the outdoor water park. The water very family friendly. Entrance into the park is first come first serve with limited capacity, arrive early to ensure your day of fun! The fee is very reasonable with life jacket use included with the child's entrance fee, life jackets go fast. You can also bring your own life jacket that will be inspected and approved before entering. There are lockers in the shower rooms, the site doesn't provide locks, I did not look to see if a standard padlock could be used. The outdoor water park consists of a kiddie pool, standard pool, lazy river, and two water slides. The water is clean and refreshing. The water slides have posted criteria, not everyone will have the opportunity to use the slides. There is a first aid station, and a concession stand. The food and drink prices are reasonable, the menu is limited. Relaxing space outside of the pool will consist of sitting on the grass or concrete, shaded spaces are non existent. If you need shade it would be best to bring a beach umbrella.
This park is a terrific way to spend the day in and out...
Read moreBe aware that most days you enter the Waterpark, there's always something that's not in working order. They'll happily take your money at the front desk without any word that the slides aren't working, or the kiddy pool is out of commission, or the lazy river is broke down, or the diving boards are broken. I understand these things happen, but if they're not going to fix them right away, they should offer a discount for entry!! Or at lease tell the paying customers that nothing in the water park is working... that way, they have an option on whether or not they want to pay and stay. We payed to swim today and literally, the slides weren't running, the lazy river wasnt working and the diving board was broken (and has been all summer so far). The lap pool was the only thing in working order, aside from the kiddie pool. We've been coming here for years and its always been a great place to bring your kids, but lately, this place has gone downhill. Very disappointing. Just know you should ask if everything is in working order BEFORE you pay, so you can decide whether your stay...
