The Spot — Restaurant in Kalispell

Amazing breakfast sandwich and donuts. Everything is made fresh daily. Staff is super nice. I honestly can’t get over the sausage breakfast sandwich. They put this bacon aïoli on it with their cheese and the bun is perfect. It’s probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had. Just hits the spot every time. No pun intended lol. Their donuts are soft and flavorful but not over sweet which is nice. The donuts we got were the brown butter maple bacon and the orange cranberry glazed donut. We also got the bacon egg pimento sandwich which was also very good. Super moist biscuit, nice thick cut bacon, pimento cheese was delicious and not over powering. We’ve been here a few times and it has been great every time. I would highly recommend checking them out.

UPDATE. Another visit. I’m not sure if I’ve ever reviewed a place twice. But every time I get something here it’s so good. This time we got an avocado cheddar bagel and added bacon and biscuits and gravy and a pecan pie doughnut. First off I’m not a huge fan of avocado but my wife is. It looked good and smelled good so I wanted to try it. This sandwich was amazing and I think I will order this from now on. You have to try this. The biscuits and gravy were also amazing. There biscuits are so good! And the doughnut as always was amazing. We also got a coffee for the first time here and it was also very good. We also found out that they bake everything fresh every morning, doughnuts, bagel, biscuits ect. And you can tell. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you need to. It will be your new favorite...

We just stopped by The Spot to get our donut fix, and everyone in our family agrees that The Spot has ruined us for donuts. We’re in town on a trip and dropped by on our way out - and we regret we won’t be able to have these unbelievably delicious, soft, light, and flavorful donuts again until we come back to Montana. Most donuts leave a greasy film in your mouth and leave me with a heavy stomach, but these donuts were so light and airy and didn’t feel weighed down by grease. They’re seriously the best donuts we’ve ever had and everyone in our car was oohing and ahhing and stuffing our faces. The staff is so friendly as well! I called ahead of time and asked what I should do since we have our travel trailer hitched to our car, and I was told I could walk through! Seriously, eat these delicious donuts as much as you can, they definitely hit the “spot” and the price is also spot on. Our favorite speciality donut shop back home is much pricier for the basic flavors and now we know, not as delicious. My mouth is still watering while writing...

Many may not know this place almost closed, but at the last hour it was taken over by a loyal customer named Mitch. He is one of the most genuine, generous and kind people I’ve ever met.

Not only did he save this place and keep the lights on, he improved the quality significantly. I liked the brioche dough donuts before, but his are light and airy and the flavors are incredible! I asked him what the difference is between the prior donuts and these and he said he purchased equipment to knead the donuts, versus kneading by hand as they were before. The menu changes sometimes seasonally, sometimes monthly. Huckleberry and the white chocolate raspberry are my favorites!
