Anita B. Gorman Park — Attraction in Kansas City

The war memorial is semi new, and very very cool. The fountain on north oak and vivian road is what everyone sees about this park. There is a nice walking trail, several benches and just down the street is in a tub tacos! If you play Pokemon go, there are a lot of poke stops and 4 gyms, and some pretty decent poke hunting in a smallish area. Its a very popular place to have wedding photos taken, and is over all a very nice park. Not really much to do as far as kids go though. This park is nestled right in the corner of a busy area. Vivion, N Oak, and I-29 all cross here. Despite the traffic, this little park is quite amazing. The fountain at the west end of the park is one of the few fountains in all of Kansas City that stays running through the winter months. Excellent park featuring one of the most iconic water fountain's in the Kansas City area. During the summer there are wedding photographers at the fountain, in the spring prom pictures are taken in front of it, no matter the time of year there is photography going on. During the winter, the city continues to run the fountain and the water freezes into an interesting display. The park also features bike/hike trails and has lots of green open space.
