ALDI — Local services in Kansas City

I saw the "now open" sign on my way home this afternoon so I decided to stop in to see the store without the intention of purchasing anything. The store looks great and definitely more spacious than the aldi further down the road. They have a good variety of different types of products as well as name brand items. I was very happy with the variety of baking items such as brownie and cake mixes. There was a good selection of different breads, bagels, rolls, and dessert breads. What I was most excited for was the array of German products like the chocolates, meat items available in the "deli" area, coffee, and the different German desserts. In the future I hope to see German frozen food products as well and gravy or dumpling mixes! I did encounter two gentlemen associates on the floor while shopping they were both extremely friendly and professional. I did not grab a cart when I came in because I did not plan on shopping. Next thing I know I had my arms full with things. I ended up dropping a few items, picked them up and continued on my way. The next thing I know, one of the employees must have seen me drop the items because he came running over to me and said, "ma'am would you like a box to put your things in?" Very thoughtful for him to go out of his way and then run over to the aisle I was in!!! Even though I do love Aldi, I was not willing to drive to the older store further down N. Oak before this location opened because in my mind it was further than I wanted to drive. This one is very close to where I live so I am glad that it is here!! I used the self check out and realized when i went to pay with cash that there wasn't a slot to stick money into. So the only suggestion I can think of currently is to have a sign for the self checkouts informing customers that it...

Very nice location of Aldi. It's brand new so it's still very clean and well organized. My biggest complaint, and it's minor, if I'm forced to do self check out because the workers are busy restocking, which is fine... Can the prompts stop talking to me every 5 seconds? I'm not as fast as the Aldi checkers, I understand the process, telling me what to do every 5 seconds only makes me anxious and slower. Give me a mute button!! Of course I'll be back,...

Aldi has low prices on basic groceries. Some special items can be found here too. I love the Aldi finds aisle which changes weekly. The variety of cheese and deli meat at affordable prices makes hosting easy when entertaining. Employees are always helpful and the store is clean...
