Legacy Stadium — Attraction in Katy

Regular fan of the Katy Tigers. Thre stadium is great. Lots of space for the clubs to sell shorts, every seat is good. Only bad thing is second level can't hear the band on the first level. 09-29-23 First game I attended this year. Was shocked that I could not by a ticket onsite but had to use my cell to purchase ticket online. Once I got to the entrance there was a bank of metal detectors. An extremely rude and power hungry security guard yelled at me and my daughter that I couldn't bring in binoculars in a case nor have lens caps. While my daughter walked the case and caps back to our car, I watched the line going through the metal detectors and witnessed it activate several times but each person was just waved through. I bought my ticket online the day of the game and they gave me "GA" seats which I later found to be general admission seats. When I asked staff where to sit they said anywhere. Then, we got kicked out of 3 different seats because apparently they had assigned seats on their tickets. I asked another staff and was told that people don't generally sit on their assigned seats and that I just need to find one and move if they decide to sit on their assigned seats. The whole game I was worried we will get kicked out as we see people go up near our seats and look at us. "Are these the people that are going to claim their seats?" What a horrible experience. Covered handicap seating (so you aren't rained on on a wheelchair), plenty of parking and CLOSE handicap parking, good concession stands, relatively new stadium with artificial turf, jumbo electronic scoreboard, 2 story seating for both home and visitor, nice team fieldhouses, indoor pressbox, cement stadium with numbered aluminum bleachers. Right off ofthe expressway in Katy next to the high school (across from CVS). PA system is clear and crisp. Band acoustics were a bit affected by the sz of the stadium and the high winds.
