Just because you have dinosaur toys doesn't make the place a museum. Literally nothing else in here was museum related. And it's way too small. I saw the name of the place "Play Street Museum" and thought it would be a large educational facility. It's not. It's a 2,000 square foot store in a strip mall. But it's not even a store, it's a daycare in which you supervise your own kids or have a play date and let the kids run around while you gossip with your friends. I don't mean to sound mean about this place, obviously there is a need for this kind of thing, there are more than one of these. But without educational aspects I just see it as false advertising. And I can easily imagine this room getting crowded very fast if there were...a dozen or so kids and parents in there? I'm not trashing the place, the kids had a great two hours in there but parents just look miserably bored unless they're on a play date. With the facility being so small, the fun runs out really fast. There is an empty space on the left side of Play Street "Museum", I would say expand the facility and add in some things besides coloring stations and building blocks. Oh, and the learning kitchens. Maybe some sports related stuff, balls, more than 4 books, you know... interactive things that kids like. Best advice, check this place out with low expectations or go with a friend that has children too. I want to give it 3 stars but I feel there is potential to easily...
Read moreGreat place for a normal daily visit. Our toddler loves it. But I would not recommend it for a birthday party because of the time limit 1.5hrs. We arrived early to setup and decorate, etc. The time flies by fast to socialize, eat, cut cake, play. Then they rush you out of the place a few minutes before the 1.5hrs is up. Which I understand because there is another party after. So you have to breakdown, pack up, take stuff outside very quickly. Plus say goodbye to people, hand out gift bags at the same time. I guess you could start packing up 15-20mins ahead of time, but then you only really have like an hour of the actual party and taking things down early seems lame. The minimum should be 2 full hours here. It's not worth some people's time to travel if it is far from their home.
Just wanted to share that. It's a really fun place for a regular visit, and it was is always very clean. But we won't be hosting another bday...
Read moreClean and tidy. Not sure when the policy changed but now it's $15 per 90 minute session when it used to be "per visit", with a 30 minute break between sessions. I came in at 3 pm and wasn't aware of this new policy. Was kicked out at 4. It was "posted" on a sheet of paper as "make a reservation for your session" but the rules were not. Don't feel like I got my money's worth. To the attendant's credit, she did offer me to come back for 30 more minutes after the 30 minute break between sessions. She could tell I was annoyed. I did not take her up on her offer. I didn't want to wait around outside for 30 minutes with a confused toddler for just another 30 minutes to then make my toddler leave again.
I'll just drive to the cypress location from now on even though it's 30 minutes away vs this location that's just 5 minutes from my house so we can spend more time and get our...
