Dangerous Childcare and Dismissive Management at Villa Sport Katy
If youāre thinking about using the childcare at Villa Sport ā our experience was a nightmare. Our baby was put in medical danger, the childcare director lied about it multiple times, and Cody the General Manager tried to use gas-lighting manipulation techniques on us with a big smile on his face and ultimately did nothing about it.
Ignoring Our Instructions: Our 5-month-old, whoās exclusively breastfed, was given water from a large (12oz) kids sports bottle by a caregiver, even though we were clear: NO feeding him, page us if heās fussy. This couldāve been a major health risk because not all babies his age (5 months) can safely drink water, especially from a larger bottle, with high flow top meant for older kids. They risk aspiration and water intoxication because of underdeveloped kidneys. We had to consult our pediatrician and watch our baby for 24 hours for vomiting, breathing issues or passing out. Luckily he was ok. Lying Childcare Director: Mike, the Childcare Director, lied to our faces. He told us about the water incident (in a positive light, like your baby was hungry so we fed him that water bottle instead of bothering you), then backtracked when he saw we were concerned, now saying it didnāt happen. But, we spoke with the caregiver who actually fed our baby the water and she confirmed she fed him water because he was fussy. When confronted, Mike lied again, making up a different story on the spot, and a third version later on when we met with him and Cody the GM. Dismissive General Manager: We brought this to Cody, the General Manager, expecting him to take it seriously. Despite video footage proving our series of events and making Mikeās lies obvious, Cody just shrugged it off as a āmisunderstanding,ā defended Mike, saying heās incapable of lying because has an honest employee and essentially ignored our concerns. They did change āprotocolā on baby bottles, but they already had a protocol in place that if they followed would have prevented the incident anyway. (It was our older daughterās water, they are supposed to match name tag of child with name tag on bottle before feeding which they did not do.) Lack of Standard Childcare Practices: The childcare director at Villa Sport doesnāt follow basic standards ā babies arenāt kept separate from older kids like they claim and they donāt stick to child-to-caregiver ratios like they claim. The facility is set up to follow daycare standards, but we never saw them actually following these standards.
If you value honest staff and safe childcare, think twice about Villa Sport. After all this, we switched to Lifetime where they actually follow daycare childcare standards and genuinely seem to care about our kidsā safety...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVillasport Katy offers excellent facilities and a great environment overall; however, the pickleball community lacks organization, fairness, and inclusivity for new players.
As a beginner, I joined with the hope of finding a friendly and encouraging atmosphere. While some members were genuinely kind and even took the time to teach me, my experience this week was unfortunately the opposite. During one session, I waited for nearly 40 minutes while other members continued to play without offering any rotation or chance to join.
I raised this issue both directly with several players and later with management, but the response was disappointing. Rather than acknowledging the situation, I was told that I should have asked to join ā which overlooked the real issue of fairness and group dynamics. None of the individuals involved expressed any sense of responsibility or understanding of how such behavior impacts new participants.
What concerns me most is that Villasport is a paid membership facility, where all members should have equal access to amenities. Yet in practice, participation seems to depend on whether long-time members āapproveā of you, which creates an unwelcoming and exclusive environment. I donāt believe anyone should have to āfit inā with a particular group or prove their skill level to simply take part in an open recreational activity.
To maintain the integrity of its programs, Villasport should consider implementing clearer rules and structured rotation systems, along with better oversight from management. Doing so would help ensure that all members ā regardless of experience level ā can enjoy a fair and respectful playing environment.
Villasport has strong potential to foster a healthy, inclusive pickleball community, but meaningful change will require consistent management attention and fair...

As the previous recent reviews had already mentioned and covered in detail...a member of the gyms staff was arrested for 'Indecency With a Child' within the Villa Sport Kids facility who was only 24-months old. Which according to published reports was already known about by upper management, covered up, not reported to members. Which ironically, when you drop your child off at Villa Kids (you the parents are not allowed to see your children, but unauthorized employees are). Completely unknown random charges to wife's card on file that were unexplainable we had to dispute constantly over the course of our entire membership. Amenities such as the jacuzzi, sauna, & steam room were out of service more often than they were operating properly. Reports of gym lockers being broken into & nothing being done to rectify the situation. The Director / GM was completely unresponsive for almost 3 weeks at a time & when we final received a response it "slipped off their radar" & was forgotten about.
Trust me when I say...don't waste your money & time with joining this gym. It was nothing but a headache & problematic from the moment we joined. Look else where for upper scale gym memberships as this place has issues from...
