This walmart includes a grocery section inside. Just one thing. Don't go expecting to find any fresh meat. No Steaks, no pork, no hamburger. Processed lunch meat, frozen processed meat, and bacon is about all they had. Plus, the store is very busy with not much room in the aisles.
Then, there's the fishing section. Every piece of tackle, and I mean every piece from the cheapest foam float to the most expensive rig or lure is locked up in glass cases. Even the fishing line, besides the least expensive stuff, is locked up. Having worked retail in the past I know it takes a lot for a company to lock up merchandise like that and make it completely inacccesable to the customer. Especially cheap foam floats and hooks etc. I had a hunch that theft must be unbelievable there and the receipt check at the door of every single cart and bag confirmed it. If there is that much shrink in foam floats and hooks for them to be locked up should you really trust your stuff not to be stolen from your car in the parking lot or not to be robbed in the lot? My wife and I will stick with big save for the rest...
Read moreMy recent visit to Walmart was highly disappointing. Despite arriving well before others, my party and I were ignored for over an hour. We stood waiting for assistance while other customers who arrived after us were promptly served. The lack of attention and apparent disregard for our presence was frustrating and left us feeling undervalued as customers.
Attempts to seek help from staff were met with indifference, and our concerns about the delay were not addressed. It was evident that customer service was not a priority during this visit. The overall experience was marred by poor service, and the store's management needs to improve how they handle customer inquiries and service.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially in a retail environment where customer satisfaction should be a top priority. The extended wait time and lack of responsiveness left a negative impression. I hope Walmart takes this feedback seriously and implements changes to ensure that all customers receive timely and respectful service...
Read moreI don't normally shop at Walmart on the Mainland, but when I am in Kauai I do stop by here a couple of times during my weekly stays. This place is always busy no matter what time of day. This place sells everything for both locals and tourists' needs. They do have a grocery area for your beverages, snack foods, frozen foods, etc. needs. The fresh fruits and vegetables are sad looking.
During cruise season, shuttle buses from the dock will drive cruise passengers to this store to shop! If you are looking for souvenirs, this place has the biggest and cheapest selection on the island if you don't want to go to Costco and get the Costco size volume of mac nuts, Kauai coffee, mac nut kettle corn gift sets.
This Walmart is open to midnight every night (pretty much the only store on the island that is open after 9 pm) which can get really crowded. Parking lot tends to be a zoo, so be patient.
