This is a great thrift store in Keansburg, NJ, operated by a Catholic charity called Project Paul. It consists of two floors and there is a food pantry in the building as well. They also operate a used furniture store around the block that always seems to have nice items. The first floor is filled with a good selection of home goods, seasonal decor, kitchen items, lamps, toys, books, picture frames, etc. On the second floor, you'll find clothing for the whole family, along with shoes, handbags and other accessories. Everything in the store is very neat & organized, the prices are fair, they do great things in the community, and all of the long term volunteers are very friendly. I would give this store 5 ⭐️ but the parking stinks, they lack a public restroom and I don't like being chased out of a store (where I bring a pile of cash) at closing. I mean, I know the staff volunteers but, why not let me spend my money and stay a few...
Read moreI would stay far away. The women at the front desk, especially the one with the black hair, are embarrassingly rude. The shop is nice, I have donated there many times. After today, I will not be donating again. I am really appalled, I just thank God she isn’t my mother-in-law. If she can’t treat people with courtesy and respect she shouldn’t be working at a charitable organization, she is an embarrassment to this organization. If they are full and no longer need donations, they should communicate that-on their website 🙄-not act on an offensive manner towards those who...
Read morePeople that come here are people in need. They are very strict as far as which garment you got last month and which you can have the current month. To me it seems they prefer seeing a profit out of clothes that should be donated. (selling the items that were intended to be donated just looks shady....)
The lady who keep track of what you can get or not is mean, and loud. Heaven forbid you need an other jacket after getting one the previous month. She won't care if you mention it's not warm enough. She will shh you off to find a pants or a shirt bc that's what you can only...
