Read moreCan somebody please tell me who is in charge of the disc golf course? I have been involved in the sport for many years and have worked with multiple community programs over the years. Along the way I have put in hundreds if not thousands of hours helping design, install, and maintain some of these parks and without going into detail of how good or bad this course is. I wanna say that I love about five minutes away from the course and I would really like to help get it into playing shape. Whether it is just a small 9 hole pitch and put or an 18 hole premier play course the course should have proper signage, properly installed baskets with locks and tee pads of some sort to throw from. Along with that a simple map sent to Udisc with the course layout. I understand some of these things cost money but most of the time when I come across a course like this it just comes down to needing somebody to the ake the reigns and steerhead the project. Then a little bit of sweat and volunteer work which I would have no problem doing as well as many people in the disc golf community love to volunteer time to give back to the sport they love to enjoy. After that maybe a couple fundraisers to build the funds for the signs, tee pads and any baskets that need to be repaired or added. It is probably a long shot posting here but if anybody reads this and can help guide me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a great day!! Jon...
Read moreI always told my families in different states and around the world how much I loved and enjoyed Tam O Shanter park where the basketball court is, until tonight when the cops arrived and threatened us that if we don't packed up and leave they would arrest us and also stated that they don't have time to babysit us. Our children were scared by the way they acted and talked to us.All they did was irrelevant. We didn't do anything wrong we always BBQ for our children and hang out laying around in the grass and court everyday during the summer every year because it's hot in our house and we can't afford to go anywhere far from our house. We live here in Kelso. All the policemen from Kelso Washington are always friendly and professional except those two cops that worked this route tonight 08/27/2023. I'm not sure if they're rookies or they're just racists. I felt like we were being discriminated by those two cops. Their attitude and the way they talked to us didn't fit their title. They shouldn't be the policemen of our peaceful city (community) public servants suppose to protect and serve the citizens and residents of our community. I work for the Cowlitz...
