I kept seeing the post on Facebook since I love to kayak and follow many forms. And boy was I excited! This place looked amazing! So amazing that I called and booked us a hotel and took my pets because by golly were me and my spouse going to come check this place out! We drove 3.45 hours and unpacked and let our pets in hotel and drove over their since we paid the 45 a person ahead of time. Well we we get no direction but to wait and then after waiting and getting close to our booking time I ask if I’m suppose to wait still and the lady in the shop tells me no I need to wait outside of the doors on other side and their getting ready to go so we head over their. Then with the group we all stand their till someone says to grab a hat and vest and head down so we all scrabble to find ones that fit us. Well we get in and we start heading on our tour (exciting) in the very beginning (first 10mins) theirs neon lights and a bunch of fish Around and it’s really cool and pretty (my fav part) then the rest of the time you basically just drift trying not to hit anyone around you since the groups are over sized and your just a number and you can’t even barely hear the guide. Forget getting much information and even when I did get close it was more like jibber jabber then a good tour of information. She has a light she shines on things for about 15 sec so maybe 4 people out of the group can see what she pointed it too and again barely any information and you can’t even hear her. I also realized the fish were only in the beginning and not anywhere else in the cage it’s just dark and gloomy and a tour of basically nothing but graffiti remarks from the host. The tour is overpacked the tour guide was not informative and you can’t even hear her unless your close to her and it’s min info. it def wasn’t worth 45 a head. The beginning is the prettiest part and the pics you see are much prettier and very amplified then what you get. 90% of cave is dull and lifeless. It’s advertised very well and you basically human cattle. After spending 100 hotel 90 for two people and 75 between food and gas we left feeling disappointed and bummed. We thought it would of been so much better based on pictures and some other reviews.. I don’t recommend unless your driving...
Read moreWhat is not mentioned anywhere is if you have ANY form of vertigo or a balance issue this is NOT for you, there are no warning signs of this. I paid $150 for one night in Tiny cabin A. It was AWFUL. The mattress in the queen loft was DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY and broke down which I have included pics. The cabin comes with no linens so I am assuming others didn’t bring any and slept on it anyway. I ended up putting the small mattress which had a mattress cover on the floor to sleep. The mirror in living room was covered with a toddlers hand, nose and mouth prints. The bathroom had a constant weird foul odor. The creek that they show in rental pics is so overgrown that we had to find a tiny hole to get to it. The fire pit was so full of ash that we couldn’t burn in it for fear of the logs rolling out. They advertise high rope and mini golf which were closed I will say to disrepair. I even asked the lady on the phone about the mini golf when I booked and she never said it was closed. It has been closed awhile by the...
Read moreThis review is specifically for the Thrillsville Adventure Golf Course:
Fantastic find! This challenging 18-hole miniature golf course was an absolute delight! As a professional mini golfer, I’ve competed on courses across the country. Naturally, I take time to stop at random locations while traveling with my family.
This gem is in immaculate shape and plays great! The holes are challenging, with multiple combinations available to navigate the designs. I particularly enjoyed how some of the shots require precision and others let luck take over. And where many courses get it wrong, Thrillsville Adventure Golf capitalizes: the 18th hole is set up to give all skill levels a chance at a hole-in-one to end their experience. This not only leaves a great impression on the guests, but leaves them thirsting for more.
Access to a petting zoo and gift shop made my 4-year-olds day also! Fantastic side trip while hiking in Red River Gorge. Thank you for a...
