there's a catch: Your money is welcome, no matter what. We´ve been here in 11/24 and YES I still recommend snorkeling with these guys! BUT I am not happy about the fact that they take you out on that boat ride even when there is for sure NO VISIBILITY on that day. The captain of that boat knew exactly that this trip made no sense in terms of snorkeling. I am a diver and I knew that this day made no sense (wind, clouds, rain) but I was open-minded to what we might get surprised with. But as I expected it: There were waves at the reef, high waves, wind and totally NOT clear water. Letting people with no experience in the water with these conditions is almost endangerment. The few people that even swam up to the reef, as I did, could maybe see the tip of it - but in the same time were in the danger to be crushed on the reef by waves. Most swimmers returned to the boat fast, some were afraid of waves and water from every direction. As responsible and honest business owner would have warned about the conditions or better postponed. However - the crew, organization and all that other stuff was NICE! the trip still was a nice boat ride, but not more. And I am used to diving in rough conditions...

Crew was super nice. Water was really choppy where we went (Grecian Rocks) - not their fault, it was just mother nature. They had us dunk our masks into a bucket of water that had baby shampoo in it to prevent the mask from fogging up, but it did not work. My husband and I were out snorkeling for 20 minutes and I didn't see any fish because of the fog. We went back in and were told it was because we were breathing through our noses (we weren't). So they dunked our masks in the soapy water again and handed them back, so we went back out. Still foggy. So we went in and changed to the $10 snorkel mask we bought at Walmart the day before when we were in Miami, and luckily brought with. Perfect! It was crystal clear! We only had about 15 minutes left to snorkel at that point. As we were getting ready to leave we over-heard a bunch of people complaining about the masks. Location we snorkeled in was OK- not as colorful and vibrant as other places we've been snorkeling- mostly brown and gray. Probably won't snorkel in Key Largo again.

We had a great time on our snorkel excursion! Our captain and snorkel instructor were both awesome! I forgot their names, I believe they started with and I and a J, I apologize- met so many people the last couple of days. The gear and boat were both in great shape. You do have to buy your own snorkel but mask and fins are provided. I didn’t mind buying our own snorkel, as someone who’s a bit of a germ-a-phobe I preferred this! This was my husband’s first snorkel and I was so excited for him! I told him it’s not a 1x thing you’ll want to go again and again…. He’s already talking about doing a snorkel again. I love the noodle option! Never have I used one before while snorkeling but it was great just to hover! We did get our water proof case for our phones but were so in the moment we didn’t even use it! The moon jellies were out and we were dodging them luckily my husband and I weren’t stung but another guest got one on the knee. The boat had first aid to help soothe his fresh sting. It was a great trip and a lot of fun!!

I first want to start by saying the crew on the boat was very informative and very sweet so I’m only giving any stars because of them. None of which I am about to post is because of the crew. I know that because of the pandemic companies suffered financially and everyone is just trying to recoup and make up for lost time, I get that. But I think it would have been more professional on the company that sells you the passes to snorkel to make it their responsibility to let you know how safe the water is for that day. I know due to Mother Nature they have no control over the weather, but I think they should at least ask you what is your comfort level of snorkeling, especially if you have a child with you. It was my husband, daughter and my very first time snorkeling. We love the ocean and we are all very good swimmers. We watch a snorkeling tour on YouTube of the Christ of the abyss statue tour and it looked very safe, beautiful and fun. We spent $150 on the tour (not a bad price). We spent another $45 just for snorkels. I even took a Dramamine in the morning just to play it safe. We get on the boat, again the crew was great. It was a very ruff ride out to the site. They didn’t even take us to the statue site they just took us to a reef. When the boat arrived at the site the boat was rocking vigorously, I mean insanely bad. We could not get our bearings it being our first time. They are giving us safety vests, snorkel, goggles and fins to put on and the water was so ruff and we were so disoriented from the boat rocking it was almost impossible for a person to handle it being their first time on there own, but to also help my daughter who is 9 and now terrified to get into the ruff water. We tried for like a minute but it was just too scary my daughter was already drifting from me and I was not feeling very well. Same for my husband. He also got back on the boat and we both became very sick along with a few other passengers. We’ve been on cruises before so it’s not like it was our very first time at sea. All I am saying is I think that the company should fairly warn you that the water is going to be ruff and let you decide if you feel comfortable especially if you have a child with you not just look at you as another dollar that...

$170. For 2 adults and 1 child. Thunderstorms and wind predicted for 1 pm. Snorkel session starts at dock at noon. Storms predicted until 3 pm with a break at 4 then more storms at 5 pm. 35 minute boat ride to get to the snorkeling spot. At noon heavy black clouds and the wind starting kicking up. At this point customers should be give the option for a rain check but this company is more concerned with making money than the safety and feelings of their customers. As we stared out on the boat the waves got very large due to the wind kicking up. For me this was NOT fun. It was very scary but I also didn’t want to throw $170. Out the door. I have been on many snorkeling excursions all over and hands down this was the WORST experience I have ever had. It was raining on the was out to the reef, black clouds, high winds. When we got to the reef the water was crazy choppy and rough. Almost impossible to snorkel with the rough water. Their were few fish to see because we couldn’t get that close to the reef due to choppy rough water. I would have given this company a 1 if it had not been for Rick snd Katrina, 2 of the crew people. They were very good and helpful. As for the boat it was ridiculously loud. The loudest I have ever heard for a snorkeling boat. Bring ear plugs because I’m sure I had some hearing damage. Many of the blow up life vests are old, worn out, faded, and frayed. I will never book in advance with this company due to their poor weather policies. If they had flexibility they would have repeat customers. A big thank you to Rick and Katrina for helping me not get too strep it as we drove out into the storm. You guys were great. I think the boat driver drove way too fast, I felt like he was...

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the entire Sundiver team for their outstanding experience provided to my family me recently. When I called on a Saturday in hopes of getting a last minute private snorkeling charter, I thought it was a long shot at best. The gentleman that answered the phone was delightful, and said that things were pretty booked up, but he would see what he could do. Within 10 minutes he called me back that he could indeed do a private charter on Monday-- a holiday!

When we arrived the team was polite and helpful, checking us in quickly and directing us to the dock. At the dock, we were graciously welcomed by (Cheryl?) who made us feel at home immediately, and Captain KC was already there and ready to take off when we were ready, but without a rush at all. Once aboard and underway, Captain KC pointed out a manatee-- the first any of us had seen in the wild! He then expertly guided us to 2 different snorkeling sites that were deep enough that my 8 and 10 year old nieces weren't in danger of damaging the reef by accident, but shallow enough that they could clearly see all the amazing ocean life. When sargassum surrounded the boat, he took the time to show the girls the mini sea life within, including tiny little crabs and shrimp, and spoke to them about the importance of taking care of the oceans and being careful with plastic waste. Onboard, there was all the necessary equipment and complimentary drinks. There was no detail not attended to, and my entire family said it was the best part of their trip!

Thank you Sundiver team. I will continue to recommend you...
