This place is truly a local gem! The moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty and thoughtfulness in every detail—from the stunning decor to the meticulously designed outdoor space. It’s clear that a lot of love went into creating such a unique and welcoming spot.

To top it off, we had the pleasure of meeting John, the owner, who is clearly a legend in the Keys! His warm personality and passion for this place shine through, making our visit even more memorable.

The selection here is incredible—a wide variety of rare sodas and candies you won’t find anywhere else, making it a fun and nostalgic treat. Plus, they have Ariat cowboy boots and other cool treasures to marvel at. It’s a perfect blend of charm and fun.

Johns General Store is...well...awesome (and unique in the keys). While a newer store - I will offer that it has a broad assortment of - FUN. Apparel has everything you need for fun in the sun. Snacks - yup, from chips to Kit Kat bars of all varieties imported from Asia. Soda - from exotic, to "real" coke, to staples. Sunglasses from high end to "good enough @ a losable price point.". I really really enjoyed this store and it had pretty much everything you could think of, but i couldn't buy anything as i felt the prices were TOO high for me. Im talking $12.99 seasonings, $4.99 -$5.99 chocolate bars.. i should have taken photos. I want to be nice and provide good feedback because its a beautiful store and really has a crazy amount of snacks, clothes and supplies, and i want them to do well, im not trying to punish anyone with a bad review.
