UPDATE: 8/25/25 David in no longer with the armory, this was a shock, David is a talented mixologist and his energy brightened up the Armory. I am saddened by this news. It didn't matter how busy they were , he would make sure all hands on deck and they made it happen. Many customers and those that are regulars knew David and David knew what we liked and always went above and beyond. I don't know what happened for him to leave but it is a great loss to this establishment. I will leave my star rating and I will go back. I am hoping the bar service doesn't decline losing a gem like David. The Armory Speakeasy is a hidden gem. We know David, and he is a talented mixologist . We were intrigued by his post and went to the website. We made reservations, and what an incredible experience. Jose greeted us and sat us in the lounge area, The ambiance was amazing. Berto was our server. He was so welcoming and guided us through the menu and drinks. The food and service were remarkable. Once we finished our meal in the lounge area, we moved to the bar. David and all of the staff at the bar were attentive . The drinks and food are above a 5 star rating. The staff all work together as a family, making sure all of the guests' needs have been met . The presentation of food and drinks was excellent. The Armory makes you feel as if you are part of a family. Thank you for such an amazing experience. We will be back, and we will share this hidden treasure with our friends and family . Thank you, Berto, Jose, and David, for an...

I'm obsessed with speakeasy- a bygone era that is having another moment and I'm here for it. Jose and his wife have created a one-of-a-kind experience, with a nod to wartime eras and veterans of all generations.

When arriving, you walk up to the bunker with theatrics that will inspire your inner James Bond. The entertainment continues as you wait for someone to open the little passthru door to ask you the secret pass code (be sure to get the code on instagram!). Once approved, you walk into a posh space decorated with the opulence of the roaring 20s, USO-like stage for crooners to sing during your evening, and war memorial to remind you of the strength of American heroes.

It gets even better as you open the illuminated menu filled with period-appropriate cocktails and snacks that will keep you oooh'ing and ahhh'ing with every sip/bite.

Everything here is an experience - the presentation of drinks, the artwork displayed on plates, the tastes that will have you talking for days ..

Do not skip this place if in town ! Run, uber, walk, bike, drive, fly on over to the Armory -- you will not regret it .. and chances are... you'll be talking about when you will go back!

Thank you, Jose and team, for an unforgettable experience at this welcome surprise tucked inside of the Florida Keys! Thank you for bringing the unexpected and amazing this obsessed...

We had a great Sunday evening at the Armory! It was definitely fun in trying to get inside (checkout their Instagram for the passcode of the day). During their open hours, they may look closed, but are not! Here’s the secret: Go around the back, down the dark hallway and use the 2 way radio to give them the pass code.

When you are let in, you feel like you’ve walked into a dark, classy rendition of an old military bar. Everything is new and very well laid out for perfect entertaining. The service couldn’t have been more perfect. We met everyone, from the chef to the owner, and all were so nice. Sitting at the bar, we started with cocktails perfectly made by bartender David. We tried a lavender martini, coffee martini, cocktail called a Woo Woo and the classic smoked, old-fashioned whiskey. Aside from the great cocktails, we tried two of their appetizers. The beef carpaccio was topped with a delicate, truffle mayo and served with crostini’s and it was delicious. The other appetizer I forgot to take a photo of was their braised short rib with orzo and it was equally as delicious.

It’s a great place for conversation and the ambiance lends to it. We will definitely be back! Bravo on introducing a creative establishment to our...

What a cool place. Yes this is IN Key Largo! Close your eyes and you’re in a WWII dark glamorous nightclub you only see in movies. From the out the back parking lot you walk up to a Checkpoint Charlie style facade that leads to a bunker tunnel- but wait... you have to radio to the ‘generals’ inside that you want to gain entrance. Instructions are on the wall. The walker talkie is in the box. How fun! Then the lights flicker and a hole in the door opens up and a man asks “what’s the password?” Seriously?! I said, “Please?” He said, it’s on their Instagram intro. I look and pinned my hopes on the magic word: “Secure” (I think it changes) and the door opened. It had a slight smell of a winter campfire. 40’s music piped in. Nice crowd. Kudos to the interior designer. The apps were terrific; Olives and Hummus. Full bar. Hand crafted cocktails! Cool bartenders. Can’t wait to go back for more. Heavy apps. A few dinner options but don’t think of it as a dinner place. Note: this used to be the old Arthur’s Jamaica/Carribean Restaurant next to the hardware store that shared the space with the VFW Post. Just south of The Fish House.
