Hive Five Meadery — Attraction in Kingman

I brought my wife here for her birthday. Neither of us have ever done a wine tasting type thing before, so it was a good experience. The owners and their family were kind enough to give us an appointment that was convenient for my wife and me. We both enjoyed tasting the selections. We both particularly enjoyed the "them apples" apple cider mead and the "basic bee" pumpkin spice latte, as well as the "Lewis's kokua tropical blend." We bought a bottle each of the them apples and the tropical blend. We had a good time talking with the owner about his process and picking his brain. We had the opportunity to visit recently with a rare Saturday off. They were hosting an awesome event with a variety of food and craft vendors. All of whom were very nice to talk too. We headed in to have a line up of tasters of some very well produced Meads. Had a glass of wine as well, and of course ended up taking some bottles home. The staff was great and knowledgeable, happy to share information on the Meads, the process and the facility. Bonus was there being an opportunity to smash some grapes, if ya wanted to do so. Cute little cool place with a great potential! Cute artsy vibe, Wine list could be improved. Hopefully they’ll bring in some outside wines to make a little more interesting. The ciders are interesting. Very cool choice of healthy snacks. Love the couches love the decor. It would be wonderful if they would play music outside.
