Service and overall review ) Flys were attacking me the whole time. Family friendly .Veiw was the side of a Rocky Mountain.I ordered 2 pastas and 1pizza. I saw the bar tender pouring the beer perfectly each time . He was the frist to greet us and tell us to take a menu and have seat where we like . The waitress(Amanda ) was extremely kind she gave us recommendations since it was our frist time here and walked us through the menu and gave us time and when we apologized for how long we were taking to order she said itâs no problem take your time you donât have to be sorry ) There were no signs or the menu displaying they had a veteran discount. They flies wouldnât stop especially while we were trying to eat . I was upset the manger didnât take my food off completely . I accidentally caused a mini scene because even after telling my husband I hated the the dry pasta I had ordered He tried to get me a Togo plate . And Iam like why would I want a Togo plate when I hate it . The place had water in the seats and floor when we arrived , the funny thing was the sign near the vats . They had a random stuffed seagull in a cage super funny . Iam pregnant so I was unable to try the alcohol they had. my husband had Fridays special beer which he said was sour .yeasty ,fruity blend that didnât fit well with each other . There werenât a lot of workers before 1pm so the Amanda and the chef was over worked . The kitchen staff had their hair up no nets and some had caps on . As a pregnant woman who happens to have been a veteran (us army. ) chef I would not recommend or come back to this establishment since the not Cajun chicken pasta was attempted murder on 2 counts.
(Pizza special ). We got a pepperoni pizza it came with a pint . Pizza was good cheese wasnât chemically. The dough and the pasta sauce tasted home made . Even good when we got to last bit and it was cold cause of the home made sauce it was good thatâs when you know itâs good pizza when itâs cold and still good . I describe the homemade pizza sauce aka their home sauce has tasting each ingredient having a good combination, it was good .
(The Cajun ragin pasta bread bowl ) -was dry I added chicken to mine and chicken was dry and no sauce. We told the waitress I had less than 7 bites I tried to dig in to the bowl to find the sauce and less dry chicken There was no sauce and more . It was so dry . After we told Amanda our waitress , she said she discussed it with the manager the manger wouldnât take it off completely Even tho I didnât eat but less than 5 bites . I was given 50 percent off which was 8 $ off . Iam a southern girl so I know how something that is or has Cajun style to it that wasnât it . I think it sat while my husbands Macaroni pasta was cooking or it was left overs from yesterday. Total 16$
(The macaroni pasta bread bowl) - Was good , and sauces and it had a thick cheddar which was good . ...

Friday night we came in for dinner and beer. Other than not being greeted at the hostess stand for longer than it should take (5 plus minutes and several employees walked by... not a single, "Welcome! Someone will be here to seat you soon." However, the waitress, food and beer were outstanding after being seated.
Sunday afternoon, we're specifically drove back at scuba diving at Mojave Lake for lunch before heading home to Vegas. We seated ourselves at the bar for quick service. BIG mistake. The one young blonde bartender had both sides of the bar to serve. After 15 minutes of sitting there... zero employee contact...we spotted our Friday night waitress, and she flagged the bartender down and told her the beer and water request. She didn't introduce herself, greet us or apologize. When I said we'd love to order lunch as she dropped off drinks, she said she needs to catch up first before taking or order.
10 more minutes, I walked to the kitchen and placed my order. Another 20 minutes later, as the food was being delivered, she finally came and said, "Okay, did you want something you eat? " As the food came, she just said, "Oh thank you for ordering your own food. " and walked off. The kitchen guy ended up bringing us back utensils. Our beer ran out, she never came back again, a manager finally came and we snagged her for a check and to let her know what happened. The manager handled it well, the kitchen guy was good and so was the beer. That's why the 3 stars rather than less.
To the owners of Ricket Cricket: Train your young staff. Even when busy, they can interact, acknowledge guests and do a hell of a lot more than they are doing. Most staff seemed completely oblivious to the fact that guests watch them, hear them and feel welcomed (or not) by their demeanor. Secondly, hire more. That bar has no visibility from one side to the other. 2 bartenders should be a minimum...especially on a busy weekend. If you're short staffed, your employees better step it up on communicating with the patrons. We'll give a lot more leeway for wait times with a little eye contact, a smile and acknowledgment of...
Read moreSunday 4/25/21. Arrived to Rickety Cricket and was pleased that it wasnât very busy. We didnât want to wait. They told my wife and I that a table for 2 was a 20 minute wait. It wasnât ideal but we heard the food was delicious. We waited approx 20 mins and got a text that the table was ready at 12:28pm. We went in and our drink order was taken. They returned to the table with cups and told us to serve ourselves and to grab the plastic forks and knives by the drink station while we were getting our drinks. We went ahead and ordered our lunch. My wife ordered a pizza and I ordered a burger. The server let us know that the pizza came from a different kitchen than the burgers, so we may get our food at a different time. We were ok with that. My wifeâs pizza came out in approximately 30 mins. We both had a couple pieces and we continued to wait for my burger. The server never returned. A different server stopped to say hello, and we explained that we had been waiting quite some time for my burger. She checked on it and returned to let us know that my burger had been given to someone else and that my new one was almost done. âIt will be done in 2 minutesâ she said. 30 more minutes passed by. The server comes back around to apologize about the wait, but the manager was going to take $5 off of our bill. At this point we had been there for an hour and 20 mins. We wait yet another 20 mins for my burger to come out. I let them know that I wasnât happy with the $5 discount for an hour and 40 mins wait. She said there was nothing she could do, but that the manager would be out to speak to me. She returned 10 mins later to say he wouldnât be coming to the table. I told her to keep the $5 discount. The positive side is that the food was in fact delicious. The pizza was great and the burger was also great. The service was absolutely terrible. I like good food, but I donât have time for a 2 hour lunch as well as leaving feeling like they have zero regard for the customer experience outside good tasting food. We will not return. Dining out is about the experience as well as the food. The experience...
