H Stadiem Inc — Attraction in Kinston

Brides, unless you want to be up at 4 a.m. worried sick about your groom’s and his groomsmen’s wedding attire being wrong three days before the wedding, do not use H Stadiem. The suits came in yesterday, and so far:

1. They called my fiancé last week claiming one of the groomsmen never came in to get fitted. My fiancé gave them the groomsman’s number so they could talk to him. He recently moved across state and won’t be able to come back to get refitted in case they ordered the wrong fit. Turns out, the groomsman HAD came in to get fitted (which we knew already) and H Stadiem misplaced his paperwork. We found this out after my fiancé had to call the store back to see if everything was okay, because customer service couldn’t be bothered to get back up with us.

2. My fiancé originally got fitted in March. Over the summer, he lost 30 lbs, BUT he did the right thing and came to be refitted way before the cut off date. Noah originally took his measurements and did a great job. Whoever took his measurements the second time half-tail did it and now the groom’s pants were the wrong size when they came in. We confirmed the associate measured wrong too, because my fiancé described to Noah how the second fitting was done, and Noah told him whoever did it did not measure the correct way.

3. My daddy also came in to try on his suit yesterday after it came in, and his vest is too short. He has not gained any weight that I know of since his original fitting.

4. When my fiancé went to try on his suit yesterday, another couple he knows was in the store, and the bride was very unhappy with how their party’s suits came in as well.

I am wholeheartedly frustrated with H Stadiem’s service, to say the least. I do not recommend using them for all the reasons above, and now I just hope and pray the suits can be fixed by...

An older gentleman (Don ?) assisted me. I was most pleased with him. I purchased two dress shirts and a suit. The suit needed to be altered, just the pants. After about 10 days I was wondering where my suit was, receiving no phone call. I went by the store, the alterations were not even started yet. I was told the seamstress had a death in the family and as a compassionate person I was very understanding, of this. But why no courteous phone call? Their site, I believe says same day alterations. I inquired of this of which I was told that was if I paid an extra $10.00. This was not told to me and nowhere on their site can I confirm this. While at the store I asked when they thought it would be ready they said around September 24, 2023. Almost four weeks after the purchase. WOW. I could lose weight by that time and then they may have to alter the pants again! Would that take another four weeks? However another most disturbing thing was that while I was waiting to inquire about the suit there was a man working there, somewhat older that was berating (Don). Now Don is in his 80's and did not need to be treated that way. Very disturbing!!! And while I was inquiring to a younger man about my suit this same rude man interrupted the young man who was speaking to me and with a curt and strong voice spoke/yelled to me about sleeve alterations. He is an abrupt idiot in my opinion. Making comments about something he was woefully ignorant about. In short I liked Don, he is a good man. The younger man was polite but really wanted to see me go, in my opinion. I spent over three hundred dollars there and still have nothing to show for it. Do not recommend. We were going to be BUYING 11 suits in total. Were told we could take the guys measurements or have them go be measured, and that they would be able to use those measurements to order suits. After gathering all of the measurements for 8 guys, and driving 2 hours one way to H Stadium to get them ordered, we are then told we cannot use the measurements, that each of the groomsmen would have to travel to H Stadiem to have them take the measurements, but at this point they were unsure if there was enough time, sizes, etc to have the suits ready for the wedding. I then have one of the groomsmen drive over an hour to be measured, and he arrives about 25 minutes prior to closing time and is greeted with an attitude, told there's not time to take the measurements which takes less than 5 minutes. They run him out of the store and lock the door behind him. I then call the store (very upset) to see what the problem is. After arguing back and forth, they finally go back to let him in the door, are magically able to take his measurements (took about 2 minutes) and he was still out of the door before closing time. During this conversation I politely ask did they just not want our business?
