I've never been to this place before, until about two weeks ago. A close family member was telling me all about this place and said I should definitely try it out because, who doesn't love a good sandwich! This place is amazing. Starting with the staff. The ladies up front are just so friendly. They are always smiling and welcoming their customers upon arrival. Misty, Belinda, Sarah and Fay are just so sweet. Customer service is very important and they are definitely on top of it. Now the restaurant is clean and very spacious. Plenty of places to enjoy your food. They even have books. Bring a book and swap it with something else you may want to read. For book lovers. . . Now the food! My little sister and I grew up deep in the south where we had a sandwich shop we loved to eat at. Since moving away we haven't found any worth bragging about until now. Queen Street Deli is officially the new go-to sandwich shop. I have literally eaten here four times within the last two weeks. And they are only open Monday through Friday. I've been exploring the menu. But my favorite is the Wood Ducks Sub. I switch the bread out for the multi grain, ask for no ham, extra turkey, just because I'm not a fan of ham. Just me though. Add onions and extra mayo and ask for it to be grilled!!! Talk about an amazing sandwich. My job ordered the other day and everyone loved what they ordered. They were glad I suggested it for lunch that day. They have plenty on the menu. Cakes, cookies, brownies, even premade dinners. Go check them out if you're ever around downtown Kinston or willing to take a little trip to pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed. And the prices are well worth it. . .

I took this picture because I wanted to have something to show for the review. I would have taken one sooner but the Kings Court Panini was so scrumptious! At the time when this photo was taken I had about two bites left. Shout out to Queens Creek Deli! You came as a strong recommendation from my coworkers! I travel for work and I enjoy being able to try local restaurants. I didn’t know what I wanted and the cashier made the perfect suggestion! I will be back!!!

King’s Court panini (melted cheddar, turkey, bacon and ham with banana peppers and a homemade zingy aioli) was excellent. We came in 40 minutes before closing on our way back out of town and still received excellent service. Coffee was fresh ground and excellent. We picked up some delicious baked treats (gooey bars and cookies). There’s even frozen meals and sides, cakes and treats for those looking for easy meal prep at home. Easy parking in front.

Traveling through and looking for a quick bite. The deli was fairly busy at 12:15. Seemed to have a lot of locals. Good sign. The food is very good. The coffee was great. The restaurant lacks management. We stood at the counter for 6 or 7 minutes before someone actually said I will be with you in a minute. After we got our sandwiches, a club and Cuban panini, both very good, I decided to order a pound of chicken salad to go. 25 minutes later I canceled the order as they still had not found time to put it in a container. The staff was not smiling and seemed to be in pain while working. Obviously short staffed and overwhelmed but a good manager should have been there to welcome the customers and fill in where needed to keep the atmosphere and employees a little more upbeat...

This is maybe the 3rd time I've visited Queen Street Deli and I have to say I have enjoyed my experience each time. I ordered a simple coffee with creamer on the side and the Bacon, Egg and Cheddar Croissant Panini. Whether you are eating in or taking your food to go, they have a book swap area to browse while you wait for your food.

The coffee, sourced from local NC roasters, was so smooth and delicious. No bitterness at all. You can taste the coffee berry in the brew and it was so so yummy. I ordered the Panini with scrambled eggs and it was also delicious. I would recommend checking their hours ahead of time, but definitely check this place out if you are ever...
