🚨 If you’re looking for a career in optics, photonics, or fiber optics — look no further than Valencia College’s Accelerated Training Program!
I had the privilege of being taught by James Nathan, one of the most outstanding instructors I’ve ever encountered. His depth of knowledge, real-world experience, and passion for teaching are unmatched.
What truly sets Mr. Nathan apart is his respect for every student and his unwavering support. Whether you’re struggling with a concept or trying to perfect a technical skill, he’s there — patient, encouraging, and always pushing you to be your best.
📡 From fiber splicing to laser systems, generating , blocking and grinding , polishing , centering , edging and coating optical elements , Mr. Nathan made the learning experience engaging, practical, and career-focused. I honestly never expected an instructor to care this much, and I’m so grateful I had the chance to learn from him.
To anyone considering a hands-on, high-demand career in a fast-growing field: 👉 Join the Optics & Photonics Accelerated Training Program at Valencia College. You won’t regret it.

Read moreI am not a student or staff here, but I visited the campus to apply for a new passport. Like another reviewer mentioned, the website did not give any information on how to find the passport office.
Here are directions: Go to building 1 (on the north side). Park in the lot immediately adjacent to it and enter the main entrance/double doors. Once inside lobby, go right, then left at corner, take that hallway, and then turn left. You’re looking for room 119. It is the last door on the right, just before the glass door leading outside. The room is a single desk office.
Cost and payment options: It cost us $130 per adult and $100 for our child. We also had him take our 3 pics and the total was $153ish. You will need a check or money order for each passport application and credit card for the picture fees.
The gentleman who helped us was efficient, and there was no wait since we had...
Read moreIt’s sad how much the Osceola campus has changed. When I attended Valencia a few years ago, I was happy—and so were most of the students. I read the negative reviews recently and didn’t believe them… until today.
I re-enrolled to start in Fall 2025 (possibly Summer 2024), and let me tell you—those negative reviews are not lies. They have all these young students working at Atlas, the Answer Center, and the Academic Advising front desk, and honestly, they are all over the place. One person tells you one thing, another tells you something different, and in the end, they just send you to the academic advisor anyway. They talk over each other and still don’t give you a clear answer—only to redirect you again.
I’m saddened by this negative shift, which has caused many students to either drop out or transfer to...
