Gallaher Plastic Surgery & Spa MD — Attraction in Knoxville

The front desk staff has changed so many times at the Kingston Pike location that they have become incompetent in respect, kindness, consideration and scheduling. A few instances I would like to illustrate as of my last few visits that have left me sorely disappointed and have decided to no longer support their practice. Recently, a front desk staff member took $80 out of my Brilliant Distinctions Program rewards and applied it to a service that I did not receive on a day that I was not even in Knoxville. After speaking to a specialist from BD and Allergan, it was evident that Gallaher's had made the mistake. When I asked that the correction be made so that I may use those rewards towards my visit that day, it took an act of Congress....and we all know how that goes. I had to physically go behind their desk and point out to Michelle where the mistake was because she could not figure it out herself. When I told her that this needed to be corrected immediately, her response was, "I don't know what to tell you." The office manager EVENTUALLY took care of it after wasting nearly 30 minutes of my time. However, Michelle was extremely rude and condescending. She has been rude on numerous occasions and seems to struggle with simple skills to do her job. On another occasion, I called to schedule an appointment for Dermalplaning and a Hydrafacial in which she asked me which service I would. like to have first! She clearly needs to be educated on simple procedures in the office so that she can answer SIMPLE questions. Can you imagine if I had a question about surgery? Another case in point is the time I was scheduled for a Clear & Brilliant laser treatment which requires you to arrive early to apply numbing cream because the laser can sting pretty badly. Michelle attempted to apply my numbing cream, but did not do it correctly nor did she apply the proper amount, leaving me to feel nearly every stroke of the laser. I'm not certain if Dr.Gallaher is aware of her incompetencies or her poor personal. skills, but as a result, I will no longer support their practice. After 3 1/2 years of being a loyal patient, sending them numerous referrals, my husband buying thousands of dollars worth of gift...

I recently decided to go with Dr. Gallaher after extensive research and many recommendations from friends and acquaintances. Kaylan has been my nurse since my first appointment. She has always been so sweet in person and quick to provide feedback when I have called. My surgery went well, however I did experience a complication a week later when getting my drains out (this was neither the fault of Dr. Gallaher and staff nor myself, simply a freak incident & rare complication). The complication occurred about thirty minutes after leaving the appointment. I immediately called Kaylan who had me email her pictures then come back to the office. Once there, Kaylan took such great care of me. Dr. Gallaher examined me, he made the decision to immediately take me back in for surgery right then as he felt it would provide the best outcome even though it was also the most extreme solution. He was on the phone setting up the OR so that as soon as we arrived I would be taken back, and that was exactly what happened. I commend his quick thinking and willingness to go above and beyond for me throughout the entire process. It was a pretty serious and scary situation for me and both he and Kaylan handled with care, professionalism, and perfection. I came to Dr Gallahers office because of a surgery Botch job that was done to be by another general surgeon. I had extreme anxiety over the whole situation. Dr Gallaher and his amazing staff not only calmed my anxiety, but also gave me every option available to fix the issue I came to him with. They were thorough Pre, Day of, and (what I feel is the Most important) Post-op care has been TOP notch. I have been able to reach out with all my questions and they have been answered quickly. I was made to feel like I was not a bother for asking questions, and always given a though answer. I am Not easily impressed and they have gone over and above. I am currently 4 weeks post op and feel as I am in the best hands for care. Kaylan his nurse is absolutely a sweetheart and comforting in the way she talks to you as you will never have any stupid question or need. The surgical team made me feel relaxed and comfortable and subsided my extreme anxiety when I was at the surgical center. Last but not least Dr Gallaher is professional, caring and thorough in explaining information, and a great bedside manner. His work is like a masterpiece , he did an amazing job. I could not be more happy. I will go to Dr Gallaher and his staff for all my plastic surgical and spa needs. I will also highly recommend...
