World Market — Attraction in Knoxville

Today was only the second time my wife and I have been in this store. The first time we walked out because of the lack of acknowledgment. Today, Amy an Delphine were wonderful! So, nice, friendly and helpful. We were acknowledged upon entering and walking throughout the store. Thx!

Update * originally 5 stars. My wife had a horrible painful disease. Very hard for her to get out. The last week she was alive, she forced herself to go out and she wanted to go to World Market. The manager ( originally from Nevada ) and her made small talk that turned into a confrontational experience. My wife got into the car in tears. Later that week my wife wanted to go back to purchase something and hoped that manager wasn't there. My wife made a purchase with a delightful young lady. However, to complete this transaction a manager approval was needed. My wife told the gal that she hoped the manager wasn't the manager that made her cry. It was. The manager snaps at my wife, asking if she is still in her spunky mood. My wife just smiled. Once again, tears once she got back to the car. That turned out to be the last time my wife left the house, passing away two days later. Someone should tell the manager to always be kind to people as you don't know...

This store has cool products and is fun to browse in, but it would be nice if you could actually make a purchase! I buy Torani coffee syrups from here and tried to purchase 3 times with no luck. Came Saturday evening around 7:15 as I was running other errands in Turkey Creek... closed at 7 pm. Came back today at 10:45 while running errands, closed, open at 11 am. Really inconvenient hours. I came back at 11:15, hoping I could finally get the 2 items I was looking for. I walked in and their was 1 register open and there was a customer showing them their phone...went and got my syrups, spent a couple minutes deciding what flavor I wanted, then went to the checkout... 5 minutes in and the same customer is there.... 10 minutes in... now signing up for the rewards program at a snail's pace. No other employees in the store. There was another customer in front of me and another behind me. It should not take 15 minutes to check one person out. Tell them to move aside and sign up while you ring up other people. I put the syrups down at the next register and left. I will order from Amazon going forward. This store needs to get it together, fast if they want to survive. Lost...

Amazing store, had so many fun things to try and look at! However, some interesting employees working there. First off, upon walking in, me and my family said "excuse me" to this one employee, and she just apologized and moved out of the way but she said something very interesting and unnecessary. "you guys seem nice, i will just follow you around." Um, what? She was joking and she didn't actually follow us around, but who says that kind of thing!! freaky!! The rest of the shopping trip was good, but then we got to the register to check out. our girl was very awkward and blunt, pale in the face. she couldn't scan 2 of our items because there was no barcodes, and she looked like she was on the verge of panicking because of it. we told her it's okay numerous times!! also, in the midst of checking out, another employee comes up and says "want to see a picture of my cat before my lunch break?" Ummm whattt??? that's kind of odd... i left the store with a lot of anxiety and fear. i will be coming back due to the amazing food and kitchenware, but i really hope that their employees...
