NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. NOT SURE WHY THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS ??
I came into the store with about a $10k budget. I only saw one other customer in the store. I walked around the entire store. I observed at least five employees standing around who were NOT busy and were NOT assisting other customers. Not one single person greeted me when I was in the store. Not one single person offered assistance. Everything in the store seemed very country and rustic. Many of the items appeared to be of VERY poor quality. For example, two or three of their leather chairs and sofas had scratches, stains and were clearly damaged. Yet they were priced as if they were first quality. In addition, the rugs that they had on display had fabric coming apart. The store was very dirty, disorganized, and had a terrible odor. In addition, they were playing very loud music from the 70’s and 80’s. Walking into this store is like taking a step back in time. Having been a Small Business Owner as well as a Customer Service Manager, I would be ashamed to ignore customers. Especially when it didn’t appear as though they were very busy. If this is their standard practice of how they treat and interact with customers, then they really do deserve to go out of business.
So, I took my $10K and walked next door to Ethan Allen where they greeted me and offered assistance as soon as I walked in the door. It’s unfortunate to be forced to have to patronize a large National Company since clearly you can’t count on local businesses in Knoxville to do their job. I guess you are all content with being lazy and poor. Maybe you all should consider giving priority to actually doing your job rather than being consumed with worshipping your local losing UT college football team. Being in sales, I encounter many people moving to the area on a daily basis. I will make it a point of determination to advise people to go ANYWHERE but Braden’s for their furniture...

Read moreMy husband and I worked with Donovan and he did a fantastic job. My husband and I had some differences of opinion on design and Donovan figured out how to meet us in the middle (while making us both compromise and come out comfort zone for the better of the style) - he came to our home and designed our living, screen porch, and master bedroom spaces - taking into consideration our living needs (young kids). 8 months later of living in our furniture we are sooooo comfortable in our main living spaces he helped us with. What he did - was also offer us brands outside of their sales floor. And we brought him ideas from online and he worked with us to get the styles we wanted while making similar recommendations within budget preferences. (We varied on budget preferences depending on which furniture piece we were wanting). Recently, we went to Braden’s and Donovan again for outdoor furniture and he helped us design our outdoor space working within our (realistic!) budget — our experience has been amazing and they offer all brands - you just have to ask. Also - they help design the space. 5 out of...
