I just booked this for my wedding. It started with my love and history of the railroad (grew up union pacific). Being that my fiance picked our wedding colors and style, we agreed I would pick the venue. I inquired via email about their venue, missed a call and when I returned the call I spoke with Mrs. Willa (love the name ) she was so sweet and accommodating. It was the MOMENT I was greeted by Mr. Bob that I knew this was the place for me. Beyond friendly, it was like reuniting with a family member. Read moreWent to go look at the train cars and had a very neat experience, on our way to the museum part a fellow name Charles came out and showed us around inside the cars, gave us some history lessons which was very awesome to learn about. After taking tours of the cars he walked us inside to the museum and showed us around, Charles is a very polite, kind and knowledgeable man The museum is pretty awesome, they have lots of things to look at and to admire with lots of stories to go with them. Read moreThis stop was a highlight of my winter trip to the Louisville area. Three very friendly and personable employees provided a full tour of the learning center main floor, the large and very impressive model train collection downstairs, and capped by Ken walking me through the restored caboose and 1929 dining car outside on the tracks. Great detail and obvious dedication. The only downer was that I missed seeing the trains on Main Street by less than 10 minutes coming and going, as revealed by checking the La Grange train cam on YouTube after I got back to snow...
