Okay so my girlfriend and I go out to eat here she says its "okay". This was far from okay, not all places are 5 stars sadly. I ate here 3 months ago fairly cold day. Parking is okay since it's near a train that still operates so you sometimes have to wait for the train at least where i parked when it was running through.

But, I dined in and the food was ... Weird ... For a place that serves bacon pie a southern dish and mixes it with quesadillas. Im not a major critic or anything but, i dont know the identity of this restaurant. The waitress which I hope doesn't work there anymore DIDN'T EVEN TAKE MY GIRLFRIENDS ORDER ,straight up ignored her. So that kinda made me upset.

Me and the girlfriend decided since we shared the meal we should get a dessert, we got some kinda lava cake. Well lava might be on the inside but oof... We get a chilled cake that was dry like it was uncovered from the fridge. Couldnt find it on the menu anymore may have been a seasonal cake.

So we got a single quesadilla cut into 6 pieces and toasted and a dry cake. almost 25 bucks 12.99 for the quesadilla .They seemed understaffed at the time though but again this was a cold day in november december.

It could have been so much better they had history or even train pictures to my knowledge it might market itself as a fun family place but it has a bar. Not only that but the owner personally called out my name for a bad review instead of apologising for the quality of food and service. Being immature, and childish. Giving...

My husband and I have been there twice. Our food was not good at all. My daughters used to love going there the past few times they had a bad experience. MY oldest daughter and her family went in there last night and they got in there a hour before closing. She and her family ordered their food she got hers it was chicken dried tomatoes and some type of cheese in it all they put was cheese in it,the waitress took it back to the cook to have her another one made she came back and told my daughter he would give her 50%off of the one she did not ordere because he had already cleaned his grill. She said no that's not what she ordered and wanted one made right. I wouldn't be surprised if he hadn't done something to the one he had to make over again. They ordered the chips and Cole slaw which was extra and it was not like it was before when they went there. They should have taken care of the meal for them. But they did not. I hope they don't stay in business very long if that is how they treat their customers. Like I said my husband and I tried it and was not happy at all with our experience. But my girls used to go in there a lot. But no more. And for the women who wrote the review about eating fish tacos and getting food poisoning to the manager I have eaten somewhere before with my mother and we got the same thing and ended up with food poisnoning so you don't know what the hell you are talking...

I guess I’m the odd man out that had an unpleasant experience. While mine and my mom’s meals were so-so, the sauce that came with my wife’s meal (lemon caper sauce) was borderline rancid. It tasted like opening a bottle of lemon juice that had gone bad. I politely asked the waitress if she could take the meal off the ticket because the sauce was awful. She was extremely smarmy and said “Yes sir but it’s a lemon caper sauce, it’s supposed to taste like that”. I explained that I was not being insulting but that the cook had not tasted the sauce as it was being prepared and assured her that it was inedible. She again reminded me that it was a lemon caper sauce and that she loved it as she was walking away. I decided to leave the card with my wife to pay, which took over 15 minutes and the waitress pretty much admitted to ignoring her by saying “Oh I’m sorry I didn’t mean to ignore you, I thought I ran your card already”, knowing full well she hadn’t. My wife then told her she wasn’t going to say anything but that the meal was terrible. She then turned and walked away to go run our card. Needless to say a tip was not left and we will not give them anymore business. If the waitress is reading this, you don’t insult customers over a legitimate complaint even if you think...

You will not be let down coming here!!! My husband and I were traveling and we like to find small mom and pop places to stop. I Googled the area and found them. Their menu intrigued me because it had some very unique ways standard dishes were changed... and boy is it for the good! It's a quaint restaurant and it seemed the locals liked to frequent there. The place was packed out when we got there. My husband order the juicy fruit and I got the braised beef. I would highly recommend both, but my husband meal was phenomenal. If you want a twist on bonless grilled pork chops that is like no other smothered in an amaretto reduction, order this! My braised beef was more like glorified pot roast, but it tasted AMAZING. We both were commenting how good our meal was the whole time we ate. Once we finished our meal, because it was so good we decided to order dessert. He got the bread pudding and I got the cream brulee. Both were phenomenal and full of their own unique flavors. I don't normally get dessert because I don't like the sweetness. These both were nit overly sweet, but so tantalizing to your taste buds. If we travel through this area again, we are definitely making a stop here for a meal. Don't pass this place up!! You won't be disappointed!!

I visited this place on Good Friday and had the taste for fish. I ordered the Whitefish Po Boy with fries. It was good and I enjoyed it and there was some kind of sauce on it that was tasty BUT my friend ordered the Hot Brown and I tasted it and could hardly get enough of it. It was delicious, absolutely delicious!. I have only had the dish once before and it was good, this Hot Brown was great!. The Mornay sauce was really good and I can’t say enough about this dish. The Hot Brown comes in a half size and whole size on the menu. The whole portion is what my friend ordered and it was a huge portion size and could easily have fed two people and because I kept taking more and more bites, it kinda did. I can’t wait to go back and get the Hot Brown for myself . If I had to rate it on a scale it’s a 10. Yummy! If you like Hot Browns go to this place. It’s worth the drive if you live in Louisville. The Hot Brown will not disappoint! I Will definitely go back . The server, Monica was friendly and patient with me. I had the taste for fish but after looking at the menu I was so indecisive since they have a wide selection of entrees and she encouraged me to take my time and answered all my questions about the various entrees.

We stopped here after searching for restaurants in the area using Google. We didn't want to go to your typical chains and thought this seemed unique and interesting. We were right! Situated in an old main street building, it felt cozy and inviting. It wasn't busy, which was also nice. I got one of the salmon dishes and was amazed at the portion size (1/2lb for the price. There was also a generous portion of broccoli too. While waiting for the food, and while eating, a couple different trains went by - right outside the front door. The tracks go right down the street! I had never experienced such thing. The large windows in the front of the restaurant offered a great view of all the train cars zipping by. We tried the Kentucky Bacon Pie for dessert - and while at first it may sound like it would be terrible, it was REALLY good! There's just a hint of bacon flavor every so often and it makes for a great sweet and salty treat! We were amused by the board game decor on the walls, but felt it didn't really fit the feel of the old historic building since nothing else about the place tied into that theme. Overall a very nice place. Servers were very friendly and the food came out fast and was done just right.
