Edited: the service has been kicked up a couple of notches! Going from a 3 to a 5 star. Good job, Hometown Pizza! The food at Hometown Pizza is really good, but the service needs to kick it up a notch. We stood at the front area “wait to be seated” sign and 6 employees passed by us without a word or glance. About 7-8 minutes later, the hostess came from the back and greeted us. The servers, delivery and kitchen employees could have made eye contact and said, the hostess will be with you in a moment. This is a good teaching moment, Hometown. Also, servers should check on their tables every 5-7 minutes. Some servers are better than others at this.

We were passing through on our way to visit relatives just before Christmas and stopped here before unfortunately getting stuck by icy road conditions, causing us to have to sleep in our car. Thankfully Hometown Pizza was open, even though all surrounding restaurants were closed. It was close to 9pm and our family (of 6) had not eaten since 11am, so y'all were literally a life saver! We had food for dinner as well as got us through the night until we finally reached our destination around 12pm the following day. Thank you! Also, it was delicious!

I had such high hopes for this place based on other reviews I read. I was highly disappointed. The girl working the counter was not trained very well in customer service. She certainly had an attitude, although did try to wish you a "good day" so that's something. Now the food. We literally threw most of it out. It was not fresh. The craut was hard on both pizza and cheese bread. The cheese bread looked, and tasted, as though it had been sitting out all day waiting to be sold. 10 out of 10 would not recommend.

I used to go to this place all the time with my pawpaw. The buffet was awesome. The food is great. Sadly over the years hometown has gone on a rapid decline, prices have gotten expensive and I wouldn’t have cared if the service didn’t plummet down aswell. When you go to order online some menu items are not available. And the website has multiple errors. So today I decided to call in, an older lady picked up and she was struggling to get my order in the system. I waited patiently and let her get through my order for her to mess it up and I had to repeat myself again (again I don’t care because I get it’s hard to hear on the phone sometimes) but she messed up putting my order in and on the 3rd time I gave up. I don’t want this lady to have any issues because it probably wasn’t her fault. But hometown needs people that know what there doing with the jobs they are working on. I will probably be back but todays...

Best pizza around! And always done right, with good service. We love the Maui Maui, but last night went rogue and tried the thin-crust Margherita with olive oil instead of sauce - IT IS FABULOUS; perfect for when you don't feel like stuffing yourself. I'm telling everyone so they'll try it and thus help keep it on the menu FOR ME 😊 The only thing I'd change, for my sweetheart, is their beer menu - it's tragic. Budweiser or Miller Light, etc. One or two "real beer" offerings (even something like a Sam Adams, which I think the Shelbyville Hometown has had occasionally) would make Himself a very happy man. But we'll get through, because Hometown's food is more...

you can never go wrong with Hometown Pizza the cheese breadsticks are my faves, using with cheese and their marinara is housemade and delicious as well as the ranch. The pizza is pretty good pre-standard, but tasty. it is a bit on the higher price for pizza and they don’t really offer any deals other than free kids meals on Mondays for dine in only and I believe that you can get two kids meals per adult entrĂ©e. We usually get takeout as it’s kind of hard to eat out with a toddler. Having been a prior server, I would not put any server through that, and this learning to eat on our own stage. Great spot for the occasional splurge in a...
