Alfonso and his family are amazing! Hands down the best Mexican food in La Grange and some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. They really make you feel at home with not just the service, but the food had authentic homemade quality as well. You can really taste the love!
Plates to try:
Birriadillas- Quesadillas with real birria and perfectly melted cheese and a birria dip on the side. Makes me feel like I’m back in LA ordering from one of the best taco trucks!
Cóctel Campechano- a variety of fresh seafood in a cocktail of fresh tomatoes, onion, cilantro and tomato sauce. A very refreshing and delicious meal that makes you feel like you are relaxing in a beach somewhere in Mexico
Mole Poblano - Iv’e tried a lot of mole in my day being one of my favorite foods. This is by far some of the best I’ve had in years! Mole sauce is rich and flavorful paired with a perfectly cooked cut of chicken, a side of fried plantains, and their signature Mexican rice. A...
Read moreOMG!!! What a diamond I found today! I have made it a sort of mission of mine to eat from as many taco joints in central Kentucky as I can. This was top-notch! I mean it!! Everything is homemade. Feom the tortillas that they fry for the chips, to the tortillas on the tacos. I ordered three tacos. Carne, Tinga and Adobada. The carne was exquisite! The adobada was mouthwatering! The tinga, not so much. It seemed like it came straight out of a crock pot. It was overly saturated with made for a soggy taco. The homemade chips were a little too overcooked, too. But the two tacos I mentioned above were so far superior, I forgot about any other negative aspects of my visit. I gave my waiter a $20 tip and expressed my gratitude and praise of the food. I only hope he seen fit to share it with the cook. Do yourself a favor and check...
Read moreMy wife, her Grandpa and I just went here for dinner. Came in right at 6 pm which is good apparently, started getting fairly busy starting about 6:30.
My wife and her grandpa got the chimichangas, shredded chicken, and fajita chicken respectively. I had two chicken tacos, and two chorizo tacos. (See photos).
The shredded chicken chimichanga was REALLY good. The beans were pretty good, but the rice left a lot to be desired unfortunately. Tacos were tasty, but I feel like the chorizo could use a bit more kick, seems like all their tortillas and chips are made inhouse (not confirmed).
Service was excellent, and the restaurant was quiet enough to easily talk amongst our party (a rarity these days). All in all a...
