Chen Garden — Restaurant in La Grange

Went for the first time today and ordered bourbon chicken and rice and sweet and sour chicken. The bourbon chicken flavor is good but the chicken was so hard that I couldn’t eat any of it. It was like days old leftovers that they tried to recook. If I didn’t live 30 minutes away I would have taken it back. I didn’t try it until k got home and it was horrible and my sweet and sour chicken tasted a little better but it was also hard but at least edible unlike the bourbon chicken.

STOP cooking food, putting it away, and then reheating it when ordered. First time we ordered here, good stuff. Next time, wife's chicken was small chunks of rubber that had obviously not been made to order. Crab Rangoon also rubbery/reheated.

You have lost us as customers. And I'm sure you will lose more if you make this common practice. So be happy with your 4+ rating, it won't do you much good without repeat clients---which I guarantee will dwindle if you keep this up. It's a damn shame as Chinese take out is severely limited in the area. Please change...

very disappointed with the quality of food here. I looked at reviews before choosing this restaurant, and in my opinion, it only is rated a 4.7 because there is not really any competition around Lagrange. the crab rangoon was awful and looked like the kind that come frozen from a store. at other restaurants I have found they are always crispy and delicous. the black pepper chicken was cut into tiny little pieces amd had way more peppers and onions than actual meat. i assume this was to try and save money. my steamed broccoli was not done, either. i won't...
