Couture Closet — Local services in La Grange

I would give 10 stars if possible! Couture Closet was by far the best wedding dress shopping experience I had. My family and I had been to several shops in Cincinnati and almost everywhere in Louisville with no luck. Many consultants at these other places made us feel rushed and pressured and left me feeling 1) like I didn't have a chance to look at/try on all the dresses I wanted to and 2) would never find the right dress for me beacuse I was being too picky. These experiences made me appreciate CC even more. From the moment you walk in their beautiful shop in LaGrange, Tera & Lauren make you feel welcome and supported. They look at your Pinterest or inspiration before you even arrive and are prepared to help you find exactly what you are looking for (or help you create a custom gown if needed!). You get to have at least two full passes through the shop and the girls make sure you get to try on any and everything you want (even if you end up going over the allotted appointment time becuase you are super indecisive (; ). I left after the first visit torn between two gowns, and Tera even ordered a third to the shop that I had seen on one of their designers websites for me to try on. Tera never made me feel pressured or rushed but helped guide me in the decision process with kindness and grace. I made several return trips to pick out my veil and accessories and every one was as magical as the first. I finally got to wear my gown (chosen in September 2019) this summer (thanks COVID) and couldn't have been happier with it. The only negative is that now I don't have a reason to go to CC anymore! I purchased my dress, veil and earrings from Couture Closet for my August 2017 wedding. Working with CC was a FANTASTIC experience from beginning to end. I went to CC as my first dress shopping experience and I also never went anywhere else after. When we arrived they had a private gazebo area set up for my family which consisted of all of my aunts, my grandmother my mom and two friends. We were quite the crew. Lauren was my person that day and she was so helpful and fun! We all still talk about how fun it was and that it really was an experience, not just a day of shopping. She really listened to everything I said and picked out 6 dresses for me to try on. I loved each of them, but never got a WOW moment until she went and got a sample from the back. Luckily it fit like a glove and I was able to purchase the sample dress, which was in mint condition and was THE DRESS. Their selection of veils was great and I got a fabulous cathedral veil with lace that people are still talking about.

I cannot say enough about their selection, the experience and just to overall personality of the people that work there. I didn't feel like just one more dress in a bag, I really feel like they care about their brides and really love what they do.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. For my initial appointment, my bridal consultant, Sara, greeted me by name when I walked in. She had already looked at my Pinterest board and had a couple ideas of things I might like. After we talked about budget, we walked around the shop (which is gorgeous by the way) and picked out dresses. I added one at the last second from the front of the store. It was really different that the others but it just drew my eye immediately. Sara was so sweet! And Lauren was so helpful too! I couldn't decide between two dresses. Sara reminded me not to choose something because I thought it was what I should get and Lauren asked me a lot of questions that helped me make my choice! I left the shop after my first appointment to mull it over. When I went back, both Sara and Lauren greeted me and had my dresses pulled. They just made it the most wonderful experience. I ended up picking that last dress that I decided to try on a whim that first visit, and I just love it!

I went back several months later for earrings and a veil, and again received the most personal and wonderful service from Lauren. These women really know how to make you feel special!
