Joy's Hallmark Shop — Attraction in La Habra

This place is NOW CLOSED. Hopefully the grouchy lady doesn't work at the new location.

The last day that I went this store the cashier lady was ranting they had to move at the last minute. When I went to pay I asked her if the 20% (from the flyer) or if my coupons could be applied to my items. She was so mad and loudly said no its on the sign (the words are at the end of the flyer in small font) I can not combine both. I request if she can do 2 separate transactions. She said she had to re do it (as she yanked the receipt and threw it on the floor) mad as she was I stood silent as she put a smile and talk to the woman customer next to me. She handed me my purchase with out saying a word. I was the only minority there and I walked out feeling unwelcome. I really hoped it was the male worker that would ring me up because he helped me while I was shopping and was so nice.

I stopped going to the store because every time I you go in there the employees were gossiping mostly about customers that had already left I could hear them and that's happened about six times so I'm not interested in going there anylonger. I guess they don't realize that without their customers they wouldn't have a job, and the store wouldn't stay open. It's a shame because the store is nice inside, and you can tell the owners put a lot of thought and effort into it. So the store is beautiful. But most of their employees are ugly in their actions and character. 😔 Also I would recommend as an alternative, the Hallmark shop on Whittier boulevard in the city of Whittier. In my opinion, Worst experience ever. My husband bought me a key chain with a heart for Christmas. The product had lifetime guarantee!!! It broke after 3 months. I took it to the store. The sales person even remembered making the sale,. She changed the key chain and the heart for another one of less quality. She indicated that it was the best she could do for me. Nine days later, the glass portion of the heart broke again. I went to the store where the same person implied that it has been done on purpose. Honestly, I had no intention to see her again. I got stuck with something totally different from what I got as a Christmas present. So much for lifetime...
