Fletcher massage — Attraction in La Mesa

My spouse and I tried this place out for a couples massage. The place wasn’t dirty, but wasn’t super clean either. The woman who greeted us at the door was very awkward. We told her we had an appointment and she just stood there like we knew where to go and what to do. She asked right away if we were going to pay. I found it odd, because I’ve never been asked to pay before a massage before. After we paid we were taken to a room, and wasn’t given any information of what clothing to remove or what to do. I ended up stepping out to ask the employee. Laying on the massage bed I felt like I was lying in a cheap hotel bed. The massage wasn’t terrible, but definitely not worth what I paid. The two people giving us the massages were very loud, they kept scooting chairs around during the massage. I could also hear people talking loudly in the hallway which made it hard to relax. The massage was 60 mins but ended up being about 50 mins. I’m not a huge complainer but when I pay for 60mins, I expect it to be 60 mins. After the massage was over, we went to the front and was offered water. I thought that was a nice gesture. We didn’t have cash on us, so we were unsure of how to leave a tip as we had to pay before the massage and there was no place for a tip. The part that bothered me the most was the massage lady saying “no tip?” with an attitude. I explained we had no cash and had to pay up front. Usually I would pay at the end of the massage and they would ask if we wanted to add a tip. She ran our card a second time in order to tip themselves. Overall, I’ve had better...much better massages and experiences...

BEWARE!!!! The price is average for reflexology. Where they try to get you is with the TIP!!!! So...today was my first and last time coming to this place. I don't know about you but the reason I go to reflexology places is because 1. don't need an appointment and 2. it's affordable. When they try to trick you into leaving a $10 tip for a $20 massage I feel it's a little to much. I was getting ready to lay down for my massage I overheard a young lady asking for change. It must have been a $20 she needed change for but when requesting a $10 and 2 $5s, the lady in the front said they didn't have any $5s which at that point she repeated" no $5s". Obviously, she ended up leaving a $10 because the guy that was going to do my massage was putting something in his pocket and was giggling talking to another employee in their lenguage. 3 more people finished their massage before I was done which I was hoping they'll be getting some change since I was my about to leave $10 for a $20 massage. Sure enough, I requested change and he said no $5s just $10s and proceeded to tell me good tip 10 dala ok. Which I proceeded to tell I would get change next door. Hopefully by then reading this review they'll change their ways and not make pp leave tips they don't want or can't leave.

When it comes to the body massage, at least the guy I got just put tons of pressure on different parts of my back. Yes, that was the extend of the 30 min body massage. The other 30 min was feet so no way to really ...

I did not have a good massage experience here. The lady kept pressing hard on my spine rather than on the sides of it. She applied way too much pressure and the hand movements were very sloppy, my head was hit a few times during the movements. She also stepped out 4 times and one of the times she answered her phone and took a call. I did the couples massage with my boyfriend and the two ladies talked to each other the entire time. It was not relaxing. She also did a head/face massage and put her fingers inside my ears which I found odd this wasn’t done to my boyfriend. She also dragged her hands across my face multiple times. I honestly should have stopped the massage right then and there. The only positive thing was the leg massage was okay but overall I do not recommend this place. Lastly, we did not want to tip based on the terrible experience but the women demanded a tip and seemingly got upset when we said no and I understand tips help them so we went and got our debit card but then they wrongfully charged my boyfriends card for a $30 tip when he asked to charge $20. Oh and they ask for the money up front before you get the massage and now that makes sense.I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I do...
