New edit - Yesterday for dinner we had 4 rolled taco and 3 shrimp tacos. The rolled tacos were made with the favors and just as delicious as before. The shrimp tacos were equally delicious. They had great flavor and texture. The portion was top notch, it was more than just 1 meal. With that said, what made the meal more memorable is the flavor of the tortillas and the preparation of the shrimp (cooked soft and not overdone). Reaffirming-this is a favorite restaurant
I have either the rolled tacos which are very good because of the veggies, cheese and real guacamole on top. I have had the "pour from a jug" guac and was disappointed. Not the case at Vallarta. It is fresh with very good flavor and consistency. The other menu item is the fish taco. The fish is batter fried to a nice tenderness. Inside is fresh pico sauce and a light sauce that sets the stage for a great meal. Another memorable thought about the fish taco is the size of the tortillas that come with each fish taco as a shell. It's a meal all alone. I then add a side of beans and rice that are delicious. The rice has veggies in it just like my mom used to make when I was a kid and I do today. For me, 1 fish taco with a side of beans and rice is a very satisfying and filling meal with a great flavor...
Read moreI honestly don’t know what it is about this location in particular but everything from quality of food and customer service is beyond unacceptable. I’ve tried giving this location the benefit of the doubt considering how great other locations are by going there a few times and EVERY TIME it is horrible. Doesn’t matter how often either myself or my wife say “light on the cheese please” we end up with what would seem like half a pound of cheese all stuffed at the end of the burrito. Another time I ordered my son a bacon breakfast burrito and he started choking after a few bites. After checking the burrito I saw a massive amount of bacon all wadded up in huge balls. They obviously didn’t bother to cut or dice up the bacon whatsoever and just stuffed wads of it in the burrito. The other morning I swung through on my way to work and the guy at the window was completely rude. I was asked how many salsas I wanted when I responded “5 of each please” the man overtly rolled his eyes and told me “only 3 of each” then proceeded to rip my card out of my hand all pissed off. Needless to say my family and I will not be going back to this location, which is unfortunate because they are very close to where we live. Hopefully this place gets better...
Read moreI've been here over a 100 times in the last 3 years & I will never be going to Vallartas again after being over charged on my credit card. They charged me $37 instead of $13 for a chicken fajita burrito even though the receipt they gave me stated just a chicken fajita burrito, but had no price on the receipt. I talked to the manager about it, but he was extremely rude & would not give me the money owed to me. Very poor customer service & they treat their customers like we're just another number. If u pay with your credit card make sure u check your statement because they will over charge u. I noticed another day on the same credit card statement where I was also charged $18 instead of $13 for the same burrito. This place is extremely shady! They will just give u a item receipt & u will have to ask for the receipt with the price on it. Just make sure u get the receipt that shows the amount u paid - not just the item receipt. Kinda happy that I found out about this though because if the manager was fair & honest he would have gave me the money owed to me. What a corrupt business- gonna miss the chicken fajita...
